Sameee. In S1 I stanned Maya bec of her Mom like personality but Mayuka just biased wrecked me hard. In S1, despite not being noticed by JYP from the start, she continued growing, improving and enjoying what she was doing. Enough that it earned her 3 cubes after the last performance in S1. In s2, whenever she got criticized by JYP, she simply smiled and took it all calmly. Her personality is so good that the jyp staff and her co trainees voted for her, along with Mako to have most pleasing personality. Dunno why I'm saying this. You probably know it already 😆

Actually the main rapper of NiziU is Rima (with red short bob cut). But I guess JYP wants to make an "all-rounder" out of her, who can both sing and rap. Hence JYP spotted on another girl, Mayuka (the one with blonde hair in the bus) who has drastically improved her rap skill during her trainee period. (Check the video where Mayuka, Mako etc covers "Heartbeat" of 2PM). Rima raps powerful and still maintains her cute voice, whereas Mayuka raps with a deeper voice and does the "girl crush " (though her natural caracter is very sweet). Beside Mayuka, Maya (the one with dreadlocks) also has a good rap skill ( she couldn't perform it on this video though). I hope I can see her rap on the next MV !

Rima is the Chaeyoung and Mayuka is the Dahyun of the group. Rima has amazing talent, her rapping is way more flexible (really variable flows and way more hits and textures) and great singing skills, Mayuka has this indescribable charm even though her rap skills aren't as polished yet as Rima, she has a great flow.

I basically had the same reaction as you when I first heard Mayuka (the first girl who rapped) rap there, she's so phenomenal! You should watch the survival program where they came from, Mayuka keeps surprising JYP with her growth in each performance, she's like the dark horse of the program, she's so awesome!
