@Grubby. A tip for you. I saw that a few times this game you could have taken advantage of this during laning phase. When Last Hitting. Keep in mind heroes have turn radius.. SO Attack -> Stop to realign your hero to fast the creep your hitting. Then you can ASASAS to secure the last hit. What this means is you dont waste time having to turn your hero and then swing to last hit. Turn radius wastes a small amount of time... but that timing could be the difference between securing the creep kill and missing it by a millisecond. GL!! YOU DA MAN

Chaos knight is a really fun hero to play. He may seem easy, but he isn't that safe of a pick sometimes. Depending on the matchup you can be completely unkillable or completely worthless. The problem is that he is very ult dependant. If they can kill your illusions quickly, you are useless, if they can't you'll feel like a god. If you look at their team comp, they have skywrath-mostly single target damage, enchantress-single target damage, terrorblade-single target damage,viper- mostly single target damage The only AoE they had is gyro, and you can see in some fights even towards the end that your illusions died extremely quickly to gyro's ult alone, so it's not so hard to imagine that if you're playing vs multiple heroes that can clear your illusions a couple of seconds after casting ult, you will mostly just do nothing in teamfights waiting for your 75 seconds cooldown to be back

Power Treads switching is the basics, on int u get more mana to cast, on agi u get attackspeed+armor, on str u get hp+regen, most of the time when u cast a skill u need to switch to int - for better mana efficiency, when u farm safe spots/jungle -toggle to agi to farm faster, when u farm dangerous spots (jungle/lane) switch to str for HP that gives u sustainability to survive ganks. 3 simple rules, just keep following them and you'll be good

One of my favorites for sure, when he goes off, it's so much fun. When playing him on a safe lane, or when creepwave is under your tower in general, it's nice to rift opponents under your tower and then stun them, if they come close to farm.

when teleporting from the fountain you maintain regeneration for about 2 seconds, you can use this in two ways: 1 - teleport before your hp and mana are fully recovered and still get 100% after tp 2 - use ability as soon as you teleport to the tower and still regenerate mana to 100% use this methods every time it is a game changer
@ddenozor2 жыл бұрын
I'll give some tips to Grubby if he reads comments 1: Start using pinging (alt+left click) to tell your teammates if you wanna attack a target or stay away from somewhere. During the early laning you saw opportunities to jump on Skywrath but didn't ping Silencer so you just ended up using your stun for no benefit. 2: If you find it hard to move close to creep wave with melee heroes,let them come closer to you instead! You can trigger enemy creeps to move and attack you by right clicking on enemy hero and once the enemy creeps start running after you, you can drag them back. This is a very important aspect of laning as pos1 and pos3. 3: If your lane has enemies that can spam spells and trade small amounts of mana for your hp (like bristleback and skywrath), going stick first is always a good idea. Otherwise making bracer or whatever other item first might be better. 4: Always get a faerie fire at start. You can use that to survive an attack, or trick opponent to think you will die with one last hit and maybe move in tower range for that,and bam you use faerie fire. Stuff like that actually happens alot. Best part is it gives you +2 damage which is very good for early last hits. You can also get a mango which provides nice hp regen for early laning.

The toxicity does get overblown a little bit. Especially in relation to behaviour score - if you're close to the full 10k score (which is easy to get, and which Grubby will most likely be), it's not that common to get actual toxic people. It gets exaggerated because (a) even the few times it happens is emotionally hard on people, and stands out big to them, (b) people low on behaviour scores think their experience is everyone else's too, (c) it's become kind of a funny meme like saying all lawyers are assholes, etc., just something people say even if they don't mean it. There sure will be rude/toxic people in your games too, just not nearly as often as the community gives the impression of there being. It's just like encountering rude waiter or shopkeepers or whatever in real life, you get matched with random people there will of course be unpleasant folks. Given the fact that 5 randos are put in a team and expected to work together, it's kind of amazing how often it works out fine, when you think about it.

There are so many mechanics in the game even me and my friends still struggle with. We are actually kind of bad but we play for fun. Not winning makes you tilt sometimes but don't get frustrated. Try to learn from each match and don't forget that communication is the key. Have fun along the way. Keep it up!

My only tip for beginner is try to understand the fundamental role of position in Dota2, it isn’t something just lane you choice. for example in this game you picked with CK on top lane of Radiant then more often than not you’re a post 3 meaning your role isn’t focus just on farm but heavily on harassing the enemy post 1. So in this regard maybe be a bit more aggressive with your play and have fun in it. Reason why I recommend this cause when understanding each role then you would understand more about the game and your friends and enemy actions.
@FollowGrubby2 жыл бұрын
Interesting, but how does everyone always know who’s 1 and 3? Because they’re the best scaling into late game?
@nimus13492 жыл бұрын
@@FollowGrubby Most of the time postition 1 heroes go to the safe lane (bot lane radiant, top lane dire) cause it's easier to secure last hits there because the creep wave is near the tower which is safer to get last hits hence the term safe lane. Pos 3 goes in the offlane which is riskier to farm and get last hits most of the time you put tanky heroes in the offlane or a hero that can harass the enemy Pos 1 so they can mess up their last hitting. This is just an example and not always true there are other strategy like putting your pos 1 in the offlane to contest the enemy safelane. I think someone already told you this but incase you forget the position numbers 1 2 3 4 5 are based on farm priorities or gold distribution Pos 1 = Hard Carry This position gets the most amount of farm in the team most likely heroes that are in this position are Anti Mage, Terror Blade, Drow Ranger, Phantom Assasin etc. Heroes that require immense amount of farm to get powerful items to secure and carry you in the late game. This heroes usually don't join team fights in the early game and just farm until mid to late game. This is just an example, there are times that you can join favorable fights in the early game. As you may already know the heroes in dota are flexible and can play different roles some pos 1 heroes can also be on other roles such Chaos Knight he can be pos 3 or pos 1, in some rare cases he can also be pos 4. Pos 2 = Carry This position is relegated in the mid lane where you can gain faster exp since you are solo laning. This position requires insane amount of mechanical skills also requires the most amount of decision making where you chose whether to gank enemy heroes or stay in lane to farm. You are also most likely to get ganked early game by supports coming from top or bottom lanes so you need to always keep an eye on the mini map. Pos 3 = Offlane Used to be called the suicide lane, the hardest lane to farm gold. The heroes in this position can be high impact with low amounts of farm. Offlane heroes are varied they can be a trank like bristle back or an initiator like enigma or even be a disablerr like doom. Pos 4 = Greedy Support/Roamer This position usually supports the offlane up to the point that he can sustain himself in the lane and you can roam and get kills via ganking mid or helping the safe lane. By doing so you can provide your pos3 space to level up faster. Heroes in this position requires a bit of farm to get some utility items like force staff for save, aghs scepter/shard for bonuses. Most of your farm comes from assisting or taking free lanes via defending towers if your core heroes (pos 1 2 3) aren't able to defend. Pos 5 = Hard Support The poorest hero in the game but the hero we need. Your job is to secure farm for your Hard carry so he can dominate the mid/late game. Save your carry from ganks by any means by using your disables or being a sacrificial lamb so he can escape or prevent ganks by wards to give vision. Everyone thinks lowly of this role but your role is just as important as a hard carry. P.S. english is not my native language sorry if there's grammatical error. Also I haven't played the game for 7 years but still follow the competitive scene so some info might be wrong so take it with a grain of salt.
@enya30842 жыл бұрын
@@FollowGrubby there are indication like if you are radiant then from top to bottom you have 3,4 on top 2 in the middle 1,5 at the bottom and reverse for dire. Other idicators are generally Carry tag have potential to be post 1, intiator/carry have potential to be post 2, Whereas tank/ intiator is on 3, 4 is roamer/intiator, 5 is hard support. There are indepths hero choice, style, combos, counters and contemplate picks that make this a bit more complicated but in general senses especially All Pick unranked for beginner you shouldnt worry much about that just the role itself then you already a sucess For Scaling yes its important, especially when you are climbing mmr you want to scale up, but if the post 1 picked a hero that can scale incredibly fast and your hero isn't as fast as them then in essence if you play farm game without 0 pressuring then you will be more likely to lost the match, it's like getting a fish in a climbing contest. Hence why post 3 your job is creating space for your post 1 and annoyance for opponent 1. Oh, for beginners another indicators are INT heroes most likely Post 5, 4, 2 STR heroes most likely Post 3,4,2 AGI heroes most likely Post 1,3,4 There are other possibilities but I do think these are enough for starters to getting to know whos 1 2 3 4 5 Sorry for Long Post, hope this help

Probably better to get BKB in that situation, against skywrath and viper. Also force staff is unironically better than blink against those 2 heros, so you can force your way out of their AoE. Or use it to save an ally.

Hey Grubby thanks for the vid =) I notice that you sometimes use your skills which are not meaned for poking/snowballing for exactly that purpose. Wondering if you are simply doing to understand the skills/heroes better or if you simply are in a learning process of when to use them better. On agility or strength based characters I found that keeping skills and mana available for emergency/initiation purposes or to get last hits would be usefull. Else you find yourself with out mana or in cd during those emergency/initation situations and in result cant achieve a kill or an escape where it would have been possible. You said it yourself in one of your other videos that you need to be more mindfull with skillusage in Dota. I think your gameplay would immidiatly benefit if you would use your skills more carefully especially in the early gamestages with barely enough mana to use 2-3 skills at once.

«Молодой» means young, it’s not directly connected to «молодец» but probably etymologically related!

Good game. A small piece of advice, you don't need to keep your camera centered upon your hero at all times, look around you while your hero farms or travels. You've missed so many team fights just a bit off screen.

Best advice, I noticed sometimes grubby misses the action cause the camera is most of the times centered in his hero.

I never actually stuck with my A-Z challenge and I've logged a good 4-5000 hours in the game… It's mostly because I don't want to troll too hard using Invoker even if it's unranked xD.

Maybe you should check out the suggested items for this hero as well, before going into a game already. Also ALT hovering items and spells gives more information.

Hey, you should try eating tangos as soon as you take some damage in the laning stage. Peace 🕊️
@johnhubertma41322 жыл бұрын
Hey Grubby hope you dont mind the toxic dota2 community. A tip during laning stage ... you can attack the enemy hero in your lane so that the creeps will aggro towards you. Then move back so the creeps will follow you a few distance away from the enemy heroes. This will give you some space allowing you to hopefully have a better time to last hit the creeps.
