I think the difference is that with the mayor of value town we all know we care about what happens regardless of outcome. Whereas with some film it’s like ‘I might not even care about this in the slightest...’ and that alone is enough to say it isn’t worth the time.

That Trump manages to retain even an illusion of enthusiasm for this game is impressive. Half the reason I watch is because he at least seems to enjoy himself some of the time. Other half is he's one of the few streamers who will call out an opponent for making good plays and will attribute a loss to an opponent playing well, instead of blaming RNG or balance or something else.
