A note on an easy, cheap way to get a white background: use poster board or foam core board. If you are taking photos on the floor, as some of these sellers seem to be, it will take barely any additional effort and make the photos cleaner and more appealing, imo.

I like this one, Wick! It's a nice addition to your content! If you wanted to streamline it, which I think would do well, you could just do like 5 stores per vid; show lowest to highest on active listings and sold listings and comment on the items/presentation as you did here; Also you could maybe drop a link to each store in a pinned comment in case your viewers see something they wanna snag; it's a great way to expose other sellers and possibly give em' a little boost! And if you did one a couple times a month, it's a great way to engage with the community, as anyone that watches you would agree that you're one of the most respected resellers on YT, and your advice is scripture! Thanks for a great video brother!

Single McDonald's toys are a hard sell but themed lots sell well and fast for me! I've sold McDonald's Furby lots, Winnie the Pooh lots, Peter Pan lots, etc and they sell pretty quick! As long as they're new sealed, they're usually pretty decent in themed lots, at least for me.

As Wick briefly stated, some stores (like mine 😊) will have a number of poor listings and a few good listings - the poor listings are very old from when we didn't know much. Good listings are recent ones and sell quickly so there aren't many showing.😊

I would recommend taking low dollar DVDs to a pawn shop (if they're still accepting them; otherwise, I save up a couple hundred "dud" DVDs purchased from lots that I then sell on craigslist, FB Marketplace, etc.) and video game stuff to a game store. I trade cheap game stuff for store credit and have racked up hundreds that I then use to purchase big ticket items to flip.

My rule is, if an item doesn't sell in one year, I throw it away or donate it, which is painful, and I never buy that item again. It's really helped slim down the amount of items I have to deal with and helped me focus on getting better, more valuable, and higher margin items. Over time I've made a lot more money and deal with 75% less items.

I personally rarely remove an item after I listed it. Since I've put in the work, I just lower price until I can make some money or get some back. If I'm running out of room that might change. I have no issues waiting 2+ years for something to sell. I'm always selling items that have sit that long.

That Charity Donation is the same BS at the supermarket. You get nothing, they get to take your 'donation' and stack it quarterly, and then THEY get the tax deduct on YOUR 'donation'. That's how that goes.

If an item sells for less than 10 bucks, I don't feel that it's worth listing; that's time I would spend sourcing. Just my personal choice, though.

I am the same way. But I'm a little more aggressive. I only deal with items that make $20 or more... profit....like, after eBay fees and taxes.... my first year or two doing eBay I wasted a lot of time with cheap things. It was good practice though....
@DavidSchneiderIP5 ай бұрын
@f.avilla6383 Yes, it depends on the item. If it is small, it only requires a couple of quick photos (eg, a cookbook I've sold before and know will sell quickly), I'll accept $10.00 net profit. That being said, my net profit per item this year average is $46.20.

I have had a basic store for about 6 months. I realized that whenever I was ending and selling similar, I was running out of listings. As you get 250 free two list. It dawned on me that I was paying $39 a month just to end and sell similar. And the basic store would cover it I think it's $27 if I don't pay for it all at once. But still that's cheaper and the basic store will afford me whatever else I want to list. Just remember if you're ending and listing similar or you're putting up a new listing that after you run out of your free listings for the month with those two combined it's going to be 35 cents a piece after that and it adds up that's why I moved to the basic store.
@showgirlsaroundtheworlddancer5 ай бұрын
@@heathermccary9776 well of course...it states how many you get and that's all you get. After that you have to pay per ad to list on top of your monthly . Delist relist and sell similar get you zero .eBay computers aren't stupid. You have to fix the problem if it with your ads fix your pics,title,price,shipping. If that is correct then make sure you are listing every single day. eBay accounts that don't move and don't show any progress do not do well and continue to go under til they quit. eBay is in it for the money not to babysit sellers that won't work.
