Take heart. Paul the apostle said we who believe should not mourn like those who have no hope. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord,that they may rest from their labours. When a true believer in Christ exists this physical world ,they are immediately in the presence of God in heaven. Their real man,their spirit/ soul is in a place of perfect joy and beauty. We have to remember that. Heaven or paradise is very real. When we walk closely with the Lord He lets us know how real He is and heaven too.
