Usually by changing your position, the vanishing point of that virtual perspective should change. Here, the perspective matches the camera angle but not the point of view of the person and that makes this thing rather unrealistic. It was made so it will look good on the video only.

Something not right when the camera is above that is how it is and should look to be convincing to passengers but when the camera cuts to a side angle like at 1:17 you can see the “elevator shaft” at an angle which would only be possible if there was a lot of space below the floor and the tv’s were far away for depth perception but when they are installing them that’s not true. Which bring me to my conclusion that it is faked and those aren’t actually there. Oh and at 1:26 the railing is reflecting green showing that they are reacting to sound and staring at a green floor.

Someone has said it on the other comment, but the reason why the prank itself was staged was because the screens showed perspective change from different angles. Unless the TV was capable of showing 3D images that could change perspective if you look at them from different angles, this prank video was clearly just staged completely with paid actors. It's impossible to capture perspective with flat monitors. It's either fake or extremely obvious for those who were there. The camera seems to view the monitors through its own perspective which means that the video on the screens was either put up afterwards in post or was very skewed in the eyes of whoever was there

I know this is old, but does nobody realize this can't be done? It's a flat screen. It can only show the correct perspective for one single point of view, which always happens to be the camera and never the "victims". It's like the 3D art things they paint on streets. It doesn't work when you view it from an incorrect angle. The image on the screen changes from 1:18 to 1:21. Same situation, but different camera perspective.

Look at these pictures of an anamorphic illusion (3D) street painting. It only works when you look at it from the correct angle. From any other angle, it will be distorted. +Ness ネス PSI They aren't really scared, they are acting. The proof is in the second prank. They show two separate camera angles for the same event. Both camera angles show the correct perspective on the floor screens. If there were actually screens in the floor making the image, the view they displayed would only be correct when viewed from one position. Since we see a correct view of the elevator shaft from two positions we know they would have had to shoot the scene at least twice - each time having the floor screens show the elevator shaft from a different perspective.

Another thing, consider that the TV is a flat image, and then consider what you're seeing from the angle of the camera. From what we see, it looks like it maintains perspective relative to the camera, but then to the observer standing above it, it would seem quite skewed. It's obvious they greenscreen'd it.
