I wish I could relive the experience finding his music again and do it with you DJ. I'm hurting and searching learning my imperfections are what make me perfect, but it ain't workin like it used to and I'm confused too. The credit for all of my views to all of you go to NF REAL MUSIC... It's so fucking true. DJ you're on fire with the depth and sincerity of your journey. Love it and love ALL of you. WeB

I never noticed this after listening to this song thousands of times. “I should just stop now, we ain’t got enough room in this song” I always thought that wasn’t as deep as it sounds, but it was a metaphor for rooms in his mind/mansion. He doesn’t have a big enough room for those thoughts, and he doesn’t have enough time to talk about it in the song either. NF is wild.

What NF is trying to say, is that his mind is a mansion (Ex. In The Search, he says “Had to see a therapist then I found out something funny’s going on up at my house”. His house is his mind). The rooms represent different memories and the walls are, well, his blank expression like it said in the song.

Intro 3 is NF trying to kill 'mr. fear' that moved in here. 1st line of Intro 3 is "what, are you SCARED of me?" ...which is Fear talking. helps to know that out the gate. helps a lot.

@jameslmarsh5 жыл бұрын
@@bryannov9068 spoiler maybe, but blame Nate not me! NF didn't want it to be a puzzle. He dropped the last track from album 3 (Outro) in advance of the full album. a line from that track says "listen to Intro 3 tryin to kill my fear...they'll get that in a minute..." he wanted us to know what Intro 3 was about from the first word. takes away from it (imo) when reactioners spend half the song trying to figure out the plot!

The "mansion" is a way for him to compartmentalize his feelings and emotions. Each room represents a different strong emotion that we all have and when he reflects on them he's able to associate his lyrics with the emotions. He doesn't mention it until Intro II but he ultimately says just because it's a "mansion" doesn't mean it's luxurious. The doors he keeps "locked" and rooms he stays out of are still always going to be there. He lets "fear" and "anger" in which feed the anxiety but also drive him to express what he's feeling/seeing/hearing in his head (the mansion) through his music, which is his therapy. So as you progress through the saga of the songs you'll see how he's handling everything to deal with his own issues and maybe help others. It's a mixture of what everyone deals with, being victims of their own mental prisons and trying to understand how to deal with them. Digging watching your reactions to this saga and can't wait for you to see how intricately he ties everything together. Been jamming on NF for almost 2 years now and still pick out pieces of old songs and new to find where they fit into his big picture. Incredible stuff.

the mansion is a metaphor for his mind. his mansion or mind has many rooms. rooms are metaphors of his thoughts and memories. he also personified fear. nate is brilliant.
@DFortney19903 жыл бұрын
Upstairs is also his brain. Downstairs is his heart. So upstairs, he will show you what’s going on in his head: the memories, the pain, his fears, etc. but when you step downstairs, that’s the uncut version. That’s him. That’s his heart. You can always have different thoughts in your head but you only got one heart/soul.

So this is the in depth analysis. I hope this helps: The mansion is his mind. All the different rooms are part of his life. Memories, situations, conversations etc. And he constantly refers to this "mansion" or "rooms" or "attics" "backyards" etc in a lot of his songs. Intro 3 has a lot of these references. But the Mansion is his mind. His core. Where he was molded and created. I hope that helps! I'm a huge NF fan! I hope you enjoy the journey!!

I am a total die hard NF fan and I do not believe you need to go in order. It drives me nuts that people get so bent out of shape. There is absolute truth to the order making more sense... yes... but honestly it's a bit too much to watch how adamant people are when honestly it doesn't make or break your journey. It might make more chronological sense but I never went in order and I consider myself is much of a fan who understands him as anyone else. I get it but people need to lay off. You are the third reactor to comment on this JUST this week.... and I think it's really too bad.
