I love your tutorials :) do you have a tutorial using a photograph and washi tape and adding a word using permanent vinyl letters?
@LiaDiaDesigns3 жыл бұрын
thank you! I don't use vinyl letters... but the process would be same as the washi tape... for the photograph, sometimes you'll need to seal them first with a layer of varnish or mod podge before you pour resin over them.

Hi there. I absolutely love these and pretty much all of your work actually. I do have a question though. I am trying to recreate something similar using the glitter and varnish but it doesn’ seem to stick to the coasters when trying to paint it on. I’m using a different brand of varnish so maybe that might be the problem. Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks you :)
@LiaDiaDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Hey, the varnish won't be sticky as you're applying it... but should adhere once it's dry... if yours isn't adhering, then yes, you may want to try a different varnish
@heathergraham41543 жыл бұрын
Will polycrylic work the same varnish to mix the glitter with to paint it on?
@LiaDiaDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Is that a type of glue? As long as it dries completely clear, it may. But I would definitely test it out first, including the top layer of resin
@kellyzandi72783 жыл бұрын
When mixing glitter with varnish can do you use water based or oil based?
@LiaDiaDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Both seems to work . They is to make sure the varnish is completely dry before you pour more resin on top... sometimes i wait over 24hrs for the varnish to dry...

hi these are gorgouse. I tried putting a top coat the next day on my coasters and they all cracked. 😒 I was told they cracked because after doing a coaster I was supposed to sand them and rough them up before doing a second layer of resin but I see you didn't have to do that were have I gone wrong iv waisted so much resin and ready to give up. x
@LiaDiaDesigns3 жыл бұрын
sorry to hear that - I have never had an issue with needing to sand before a topcoat - but I also usually add my topcoat within 8-12 hours of the first one. Cracking sounds like a temperature change thing (the room temperature changed while the resin was curing)... but it's best to maybe contact your resin supplier to ask them what is best.
