What's your budget and what you want out of a pair of cans? Post that to r/headphones or r/budgetaudiophile (be specific about what you've liked in past headphones or else you'll probably get sent down a super confusing rabbithole) for some recommendations and get which one seems best for you after checking some reviews. Put plastic wrap on your head to isolate the entire product from your head and see how you like the comfort factor. Return and cycle until you find something that feels right and meets the characteristics you want. Amazon is super nice for testing as long as you keep the product like new

@L0ganJGs That's plenty, definitely prioritize your budget unless theres one with outrageous comfort levels that you find for like $300 cuz in my limited experience there's a level of diminishing returns in money spent as far as audio quality goes. If you do a comfort test I'd try to keep em on for at least an hour. depending on your ear structure some parts of your ear might end up rubbing and getting sore after the padding settles against your head. DON'T PIN YOUR EARS DOWN AGAINST YOUR HEAD WITH THE PLASTIC WRAP leave it all loose around there

Hey man about the new headset you were talking about I may be able to help. So the last headset I had was also some model of a hyper x, I loved that thing I had it for 3-4 years I think. Anyway so I was having a lot of problems with the headset mic so my parents which I told about the things that were with my mic bought me a new headset. Which I then tried and I didn’t feel like it sounded so well so I went back to my old broken one, used it for a while until it broke more and then I got to use the new one which wasn’t even bad, I was just stubborn about the old one sounded better when I tried it first. Also if the money is the problem and you think fixing it is better because it’s less expensive of course that’s understandable, but if it breaks in a different way than just the pads or whatever it’s called then I will probably be more worth to just buy a new one. My point is that I was trying to “fix the old one” by trying to fix the mic which I did but it broke again a little after so there was no real point in it, so if I were you I would buy the new headset instead of trying to fix the old one :D Also still got the old one in my drawer just in case, hope this helps
