Yup, this happens in the pirated version of spyro. It's fun to mess around with, but trying to 100% complete the game is impossible unless you get the crack for it. Itll get rid of all your eggs at the end, and set you back at square one. You cant beat the game at all, it's a pretty good "Fuck you" from the devs lol.

No, if you read the description it says they edited the game to make it read as pirated. They're playing on PC with an emulator (I think that's the right term). You can at least tell its on PC because of the mouse cursor at the beginning.

The game that reseted on its own is part of it being a copy I think, had that too. Also that some levels one by one lost their process and pretend you never entered them. The dying mobs and the gems that go towards Spyro are new to me however.

There is one glitch worth mentioning that actually is scary. When you stay in the boss fight of Spike for too long, Sparx can only be green. When you stay in the boss fight of Scorch for too long, Sparx can only be green and each time he eats a butterfly, he disaphears. You literaly kill Sparx when you feed him butterflies. And yes, if Spyro get hit twice he will already die. You can fix this Sparx glitch by restarting your game.

Starfish97 did you buy your PlayStation secondhand? If so, that might explain it: a lot of PS1 games were region-locked, meaning they couldn’t be played on PlayStations from a different manufacturing region. Sony took it so seriously, the disks actually have physical indicators that could really only be replicated at the factory indicating what region they’re from to prevent a simple software modification to get around the lock. To get around THAT, some people would add a chip to the playstation that told the machine on startup it was in whatever region the PlayStation wanted to hear, but it had a flaw: it could only do that during the startup sequence and further checks could reveal the machine was tampered with. The Spyro 3 devs knew about that flaw, so they built secondary checks into the game that could detect whether or not the machine had been altered, and if it did the game would do all sorts of stuff like take away eggs and gems and progress just to mess with the player! It’s a really innovative anti piracy system for the era. Your machine might have also had a minor factory defect that caused the piracy checks to read it as a modified system. Either way, if you owned a legit copy the errors would have been the result of your PlayStation reading to the game like a hacked system

Just fully reset game (powering off emulator/console) and you'll reset Midnight Mountain homeworld (including Sorceress' Lair) to normal status. You can regain the Buzz effect (actually duplicating Sunrise Homeworld i'd say) if you stay in Charmed Ridge for 3+ minutes.

Some of the weird things going on here are eggs disappearing from the atlas, the rocket ship moving out of its usually fixed place, the game forcing an autosave at the end of the boss battle, being taken back to the beginning of the game after the boss fight crash and losing previous progress, swimming in the air, chests/boxes breaking from a distance, and the gems automatically flying towards Spyro from a great distance. You won't see those strange occurrences in a non-pirated/hacked version of the game! Pretty cool and odd, huh?
