the flag red - blood shed in the struggle, green - vegetation, yellow - minerals, zimbabwe bird hungwe, you got most right. Frelimo is Mozambique Zim it was Zanla and Zipra made up mostly by two main tribes shona and ndebele. But they would base in Zambia and Mozambique then attack from there.

Talking about educated Zimbabweans, I have 15 friends, who shortly after A' levels got a scholarship from the German government in 1995. They are all in senior positions in German companies like Bayer, BASF, Siemens, BMW.. etc. We are all now between 48-49 years old. And naturalised German citizens. 2 or 3 have also USA and French passports, after working there 5 years as expatriates. The 15 of us have together 47 kids of Zimbabwean ancestry.
