Yeah, I played the game since the first iteration so I kinda breezed to the tutorial and went "cool". As a Silver SFV player, seeing Brian confused made me realize how bad the game actually is at teaching basic concepts, lol. I also think they should have mentioned the weight system as that will confuse the shit out of people labbing for combos that won't work on Wolf, Jeffrey or Taka. Then again it might not be needed since VF has just two skill levels, Pro and Mash Crouch Jab

@@Raxyz_0 it was a little disappointing that VF4 Evolution's guide wasn't brought back to flesh out the nuances introduced in 5 that many other fighters have never applied. I can definitely agree with the "stop making it the fan communities responsibility to keep these franchises alive" statement. I get it, these companies are businesses first, but to have so many beloved franchise fates ride purely on some sales goal the ppl buying won't know about without considering the factors OUTSIDE of brand interest that might negatively impact financial performance is so silly. These CEO's or whoever the devs need to talk to to get projects greenlit need a better pulse on the pavement or whatever the saying that I inconveniently brain farted on just now is. That being said, as someone who was just getting into Virtua Fighter seriously right before this was announced, I'm glad this exists and the community HAS been doing their best, and I'd gladly support it when I'm able to pay for psn or this free trial ends, whichever comes first. Just sucks a franchise with such a huge legacy as this has to resort to "interest gauging" for a main line title.

The sad thing is that a holistic understanding of most math principles involves higher level math than what is being taught, especially in high school. A lot of algebra/geometry stuff works because of calculus, and that would probably be a tough to introduce to 14-year-olds. That said, schools could do a far better job of making math actually relevant to the real world instead of asking for angles between the top of a tree and the ground. It would at least make the piecemeal memorization easier to swallow.

From my limited understanding, implementing rollback properly in an already finished game system is way harder than if you build it in from the start. I could be wrong but I think the best way to show that you want rollback netcode is to be vocal about it. @Emezie3 жыл бұрын
It's not a "garbage product". It actually has some really cool features included, they overhauled all the graphics, they're actually communicating with the audience for the 1st time in VF history (via their twitter), and it's FREE for PS+ for its 1st 2 months. Most games get the vast majority of their sales during the first 2 months, so they're consciously foregoing that revenue just to jumpstart the franchise again. The only mediocre thing is the netcode. That doesn't magically erase all the other effort they put into the rest of the game. Also, if people can't even be bothered to try out a free game, why would any sane company make a VF6? No one would do that.
