@@BehatiLife For dog nails, google how you would “take someone’s back” in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, no choke, duh lol, just the hold. While you have your pup facing away from you, wrapped in your legs, you can easily file down their nails with a DREMEL! I can’t recommend them enough. Have treats nearby for positive reinforcement. Hope this helps 🖤 I do this with my 130lb dogs and it works. They’re bigger than me haha

I'm a dog groomer I have some tips that might help with novas nail trimming, she obviously trusts you messing with her feet's, which is great to use touch to help release some of that anxiety. also treats and positive reinforcement first with each nail til she gets a little better may help, then by foot. if she really has a bad experience it might be best to visit a dog groomer for the nail trim so that a muzzle is on hand or you can console her during. Some animals may never forget or relax about it, and some have to go to the vet. (Some shops don't work with dogs that freak out, mine does, it's family owned and doesn't charge extra for needing a muzzle, so even if one place doesn't there may still be someone or somewhere in your area) But remember to give confidence Ps easier said than done, ofc, some animals also take anxiety supplements or medication in some cases to ease some discomfort. Always research amounts and possible side effects, etc

Consequences: I was just speaking with a close friend about the definition of this word. Negative connotation attached to this word. A consequence can simply be a result. A choice is made. Re: dog nails. Worked in a low-stress grooming salon for almost a decade. Best way to teach nail trims is slowly and LOTS of treats at even the smallest steps. Dog Training by Kikopup has lots of lovely videos ("5 TIPS for training your dog to like GROOMING and NAIL TRIMMING" is a great one) on training nail trims. It seems like Nova is already okay with having feet handled, so it is about creating a good association with the nail clippers👍
