Speaking from NL here, it may not have been planned but once there was mayhem & the Israeli fans were involved then this was seen as a GREAT opportunity by Israel (& its lackeys in the media) to attack with antisemitism charges. Queen Mary College is in an area which was predominantly inhabited by Jewish immigrants during and after the war. (I gtaught there for some years) it then became an area where many muslim immigrants came in...potentially explosive. They were probably wise to cancel it. The other two colleges are more central and SOAS has more space around it while LSE is in a very bus thoroughfare. Pro Israel protesters do not need the street, the corridors of power are more effective, party headquarters, parliament and even the house of lords as we have seen, plus ALL mainstreem media.
