Quick tip, put.a 2nd loop above the main loop. You can then use this to undo the tie to the elastic rather than lose the rig by just pulling it so it opens the main loop back up again. Andy might have a better technique but not sure how you would get this rig back off the pole without breaking it off.

i personally just wet the line and push it back through (like you would a hooklength) :)

agree with you, but even better to snip the top loop to create a couple of strands, this avoids your quick release loop catching on margin vegetation and losing and leaving a baited rig

can you shorten the rig line from float to pole if using a pull down clip on end of pole instead of a dacron or would it be better to leave the length of line as it it.

I have a little suggestion. The winder should not be the red one. The loop of the hooklink goes right around the corner of the winder. So you have a kind of hockey stick in the line instead of a nice straight line. The Blue or green winder avoids the tangle….

I love your videos and tutorials, mega good for well stocked fisheries! Without being rude, you’d struggle on my local park pond! This is great for pro 16m pole fishermen on a commercial pond!

I find these rigs well made and shotted. Would be better with no hook attached. I prefer drennan hooks and when margin fishing may use a banded hook.

You didn’t use a back shot on this rig?

Never used that knot before, I've always used the bog-standard figure of 8 knot. Am I doing it wrong?
@TheSudsy2 жыл бұрын
Been fishing for 40 years and always used a granny knot to create loop (or one wrap of Andy's) - never ever failed.

I’ve said this before whilst commenting on other videos regarding pre tied rigs and hooks is that I always think of someone working in a 3rd world sweat shop. Politics aside a great tutorial!😇
