Gonna be there in 18 days. Been training Muay Thai recreationally for 20 years and have always wanted to go, but was a single dad and couldn’t swing it. My boy is all grown up and, while a little long in the tooth now, will be there to finally train in Thailand! I’m so stoked! Love the videos, Chris!

I am making the leap of faith later this year. I retire in the UK in 94 days time. Two Pension incoming. I have travelled the world, ex Royal Navy, but never to asia. There is no way I am staying in the UK for my retirement. Hopefully in late Sept I will leave the UK having given everything away, two suitcases coming with me. Penang for a few weeks with 'extended family' then up to Songkhla to find somwhere to retire to. Wish me luck.

Not a guide I needed, but a nice reminder of why I keep going back to Thailand. For someone who has never been to Asia that first trip is so far outside of anything you’ve ever experienced here. It was fun to revisit that through others talking about their experiences

When people go first time to Thailand, they believe is the best place to live, but there is others countries not far, like Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Philippines etc. Those countries share almost the same weather, but I believe Bangkok have the worst and humid weather.

I've been to amazing Thailand. My first trip to Southeast Asia I went on my to Thailand from the USA in 2013. I flew to Bangkok and saw many sights just by figuring out how to get to places . Took a train down to HuaHin and then an overnight train up to Chiangmai. Alone just learning as I went and with the help of KZbin vloggers I watched back then. I was quite proud of myself for making that trip happen and had a beautiful beautiful time in Thailand. I think I might retire there in a few years.

As the comments come in from the expats community who have transitioned here, I would be interested to see what they have to say about your Texas, small-town friends experiences. You do amazing work Chris. I do miss the "day in the life" and the "Giving Back" videos you have done. I know those are a major undertaking. Personally, I find those to be more interesting than the Bangkok bar and food scene you commonly shoot. Speaking of which, could you do a follow-up with some of your "Day in the life" and "Giving back" stars? I would also like to see more from the volunteer group that you have showcased. Maybe do a special on the work they are active in.

I’ve got plenty of uncles and friends that seem like they could be best buds to these 2. But the ones I know, won’t even travel outside USA🤦🏽 I’ll be sharing the hell out of this video! I’m happy for these guys understanding that life is short and we really have to get off the couch and experience life. These experiences won’t come looking for us.
