This man is authentic. Not just in words, but in his perception and philosophy. "Go to the bookstore." "I'll end up copying." You don't hear these phrases from tattoo artists. This is raw. I love it. Inked, bring him back.
@felixbelanger26595 жыл бұрын
Agreed, but does he really need to say f**k or sh*t every 3 words?
@lifeimitatingdeath36085 жыл бұрын
He doesn't wanna see other people's work cuz he's worried he'll copy them?.. But likes to look at books for ideas? You don't see the hypocrisy in that?

Doesn't do color tattoos because he recognizes he's "not skilled enough" yet with color. "Once I think I can't get better: Number 1 I'm *definitely* an asshole. And number 2, I need to stop tattooing." This guy is going to be an even more amazing tattoo artist as the years pass.

@xxvdrawings94525 жыл бұрын
This guy is a real artist. I think in this time with social media and internet it's just so easy to copy things and copy art, the most difficult is to create art and this man just does it by listening to music and reading books. An example for many! Keep up the amazing work!
@GreenFusel5 жыл бұрын
When approaching a design he seems to work and think a lot in the line of symbolism, so no wonder he's not a very fluent speaker when it comes to his thought process although I think his artistic attitude is really nice, if it's sincere.

Those are beautiful. My uncle was a tattoo artist and I would have given anything to be able to get inside his head and see where and how he got his inspiration for his designs. I love the fact that you have people write you stories to help capture the most authentic piece possible. Kudos to you. Keep up the great work. ❤❤

With his comemets on not letting other art influence his own, I feel like any artist should take into consideration the counter argument of isolation. The Author JC Mcrae (pen name Wildbow) had said that the other best way to find your style is to embrace all the art around you. Any original work is the product of 1000 inspirations.
@vasilyv47434 жыл бұрын
is there more context to this quote or that's it? weeblewobble is a wise man
@hitchano4 жыл бұрын
@@vasilyv4743 It was in one of wibbleboar's reddit comments if I remember correctly but I can do some digging. Found it! It was an interview he did on a blog with a user T4nky: "I think to truly create anything original with its own merit, you have to consume vast amounts of media. People say you need to read, but I believe in watching television, watching movies, reading comics, reading manga, listening to music, meeting people, and going through hardships. If something is so centric to a work that an author can say, “I was inspired by [movie] or [book]”, then my gut feeling is that they haven’t broken down things into small enough pieces. I could list a thousand works that inspired tidbits or facets of Worm, but I feel like it would be dishonest to point to something in abstract and give it a measure of credit."

Finding Wildbow mentions in the wild feels weird. Sometimes you're not even sure that Worm exists because no one seems to know it.

This is one of the most inspiring videos I have seen in a long time. I really love this type of video ideas. It gives a different perspective and really show the thoughts and inner talent, and passion in an artist. It shows how beutiful and creative the tattoo industri can be. Thank you for sharing this beautiful vocal expression in addition to the visuals. I have the greatest respect and admiration for these tattoo artists who are ARTISTS, creating a real work of art on skin requires great talent and effort than not all tattoers really have.

Maybe but then you can go back and get it retouched. That doesn’t work when you get the super bold tattoos and the lines all blur into each other and become a big black blob. Worst case scenario, this one fades and the original artist isn’t around to redo it so he covers it up or lasers it off. Both options are easy with this style. 🤷🏻♀️
