"Life told me I couldn't play football(...)" is the actual quote. Before his illness he played a lot of football with other kids but after he ended up in hospital doctors told him he will not be a normal kid and can't play sports. Then he was introduced to BJJ by his neighbour who convinced his mother to let Charles train with him to fight his illness.

The serious for everyone who's considering the career needs to ask themselves is.. do you think the insecurities will go away with temporary fame and affection, or will it only make it worse when the losses start coming and the respect you once received is gone?.. There's hundreds of thousands of people in the world that can and are willing to fight, only a handful will make it to the level of tony, or even Charles, and almost none will make it to the level of khabibs dominance or Conors wealth. And even when they do its clear the success hasn't helped either Conors or Tony's insecurities.

Nah Pantoja taunting his deadbeat father was the most emotional I have ever been for a fighter. The delivery of that sentence alone hits harder than anything anyone has ever said in a post fight interview. And the dude's first language isn't even english.

Im 17 currently. It is safe to say i was bullied for 3-4 years of my life for being skinny. I was weak and my surrounding kept reminding me that everywhere i go. Classmates and others at school pretended to be friendly and i openly trusted them and today i regret that. I love training, i love to see when i bleed, bleeding or any kind of bruce or wound i had i took it as a medal and always will. I want to be strong i want to be really strong i want to be damn strong i want to push it to such a level no one could ever possibly comprehend. I will train today and tomorrow and for the rest of my life untill i become a Boxer, Watch me grow. Im not a fighter, but honestly, I can sort of understand. I skated pretty hard for over a dacede, and you learn to love the pain. If I woke up, it was not hurt, I woke up sad. You fall, you get hurt, and it's that drive to do it again. A fight, I have only sparred, and it's different. But I've never been really in the mix in a fight like they are. Im wondering what is the same and different? Because skating your pain is a battle against the ground, in a fight, it's your heart vs another.

@ I’m 23 and have been training for 3 years. So “I will” isn’t accurate, cause I do fight. But MMA was only legalized where I live this year so I was not able to like in an official sense just like inter gym cock fights essentially. I’ve always been in love with violences. I played hockey for 16 years, I played rugby for 8, lacrosse for 3 and football for 4. Im a super athletic person who likes the violent aspect. I got kicked out of soccer when I was 4 cause I kept levelling kids. Then they put me in hockey (still was illegal until 13 to hit but more acceptable lol just get a penalty) Unfortunately I tore my acl and just had surgery so all I can do right now is hit the bag.
