"You can become an alright videojournalist very easily - I'm still trying to become a good one. Maybe one day I'll get there." Words to live by regardless of your field of work. Thank you for this video. It was inspiring. I have been working with still photography in photojournalism for a number of years but have recently mostly out of necessity had to transition more into videography and it has not been easy. This video has given me a bit of new hope and brighter outlook on the whole thing. Maybe video storytelling is not as bad as I had made it out to be.

Best way is to start as a cameraman so you learn the video language. You need certain knowledge of camerawork, video editing and writing before youtube videos become really useful to you. You need this to be a job so you do it everyday and learn through work, there is no other way around it. VJ is a multidiscipline job, to do it properly it takes years...

Really interested in the field. Thanks for the tips. what type of apps do you suggest to edit video? for the moment i'm using Apple's imovie, clips, keynote as well as third party app, Lumafusion. I'm editing videos on iphone. With this do you recommend i should get an ipad for editing?
