The thing I liked about Rarity Collection 1 was that it featured a ton of otherwise stupidly expensive staples, and effectively crashed the market on them so much that casuals like me could finally afford a Baronne. It seems like this was just a happy accident, but I that's basically what I wanted out of RA02. Dragoon, Chimera, Alternative, & the Visas Planets are fantastic examples of this, but I'm really disappointed in the rest of it. *Especially* MST, which I'm pretty sure is the 2nd or 3rd most reprinted card in he game already.

@@captainmunchlax4808 diviner, dis pater, kurikara, any of the bystials, all of the kashtira monsters, the nemesis monsters (especially the bosses), stardust accel, thunder king rai-oh, thunder dragon collossus, the sacred beast spells and monsters (for yubel), the alt art of poly, punishment dragon, older melodious cards like 1st movement, ect. There are many relevant cards that actually could have gotten reasonable reprints, that got skipped for no reason. There's a long list of good, standalone cards that any decks would love to have, that tcg just glossed over. RC1 had basically a wide range of generic goodstuffs, with a couple of more specific things tossed in, to the point that every pack felt like a good opening. It was effectively a trade binder in box form. This set is nowhere near as well thought out, and it shows how much worse tcg is than ocg at these decisions.

If they had stuck with just the alt arts for Droll, Phantazmay, and Cat. I would've liked to have seen some cards like Thrust, Red-Eyes Fusion to go along with Dragoon and Plasma alt art. My only real issue is that it doesn't feel like it's enough. There are a lot of cards that just aren't played heavily, which has clearly caused some discourse from the community. All in all, this set, imo is missing one thing, and that's a better pool for the extra deck

Half ot the cards here were either reprinted within the last 6 months or were already pennies. I'm not saying they shouldnt have been here but 10 or so could have easily been replaced with Fenrir, Druiswurm, Kurikara, Dispater/Chaos Angel or Thrust. 4 out of these + classics like Rai-Oh, Snatch Steal, Upstart Goblin, Chicken Game or Cyber Dragon Infinity and Harpies Feather Duster + Colossus or Protos and it honestly would have been a good set instead of being mid at best. Super Poly and Lubellion already have a OCSR, so i was sure they wouldnt be here. Trident Dragion also (just too expensive), it being in the Tins is disgusting and it should have been in another reprint set. That 400 card mega tin this year, oh brother i bet there wont be any shortprints at all :) Konami really heard the community when Snake Eyes was 1k+ bucks, so they made tenpai cheap + rarity collection 2 and really messed this set up. The mega tins will also be another diseaster.

They could have also used good Edison reprints for expensive cards like royal oppression. Also your point on card prices, your comparing the price of cards from RC01 that were heavily opened and already in stock to cards that haven't even been updated in their price. For example cards like Lightning storm or droplets being $20 pre reprints vs now being $4 and $1.50. Meanwhile for example a card like Dragoon is still going to be expensive since there still not super rare dragoons in stock.

cost wise i feel bad for anyone who bought cases. i'd say this is one set where you'll be better off just buying the singles. i mean for 31 bucks i got warning, judgement, strike, twin twist, and foolish all prismatic ultimate. also got 1 of the 2 quarter centuries i want with raff at sub 10 bucks. only other one i want is twin twist. it looks so amazing. they really dropped the ball with most of the reprints people were actually looking for.. like trident. oh it's getting the reprint, BUT not till mega tin time. there are some good reprints in it, but as a set i fail to see the 100+ price tag meet value unless you pull godly, and even then it's a gamble. plus some of these cards in here proves we most likely wont see mavens 2 anytime soon. 1 last thing. achoo achoo. people are still apparently allergic to gold prints so now they can have them in non gold print.

The main issue with this set is theres too many archtype specific cards and not many ones that are used generically like Borreload was and too many low value cards because of it. I get people wanting SP Little Knight and Ty-phon but those were really unrealistic asks. Kashtira Fenrir is the main miss for me.

This set isn’t as good as the first one in my opinion but as a Blue-Eyes and DM player I’m very excited about some of these reprints!! (Especially Bingo Machine and Magicians Souls because I don’t have those cards IRL yet) but the Blue-Eyes reprints I personally think are really good especially because of the Structure Deck that just got announced for the OCG (really hoping we get this Structure Deck in the TCG just so I wouldn’t have to buy the singles if the new cards end up being imported into another set) other reprints I really like in this set are Accesscode, Apollousa (even though it’ll probably get hit on the next banlist), Guardian Chimera, Garura, and Droll is always a good reprint too

I think players got too excited and speculated with excess grandeur. They were hoping for things like Chaos Angel and Dis Pater, not considering that those cards will sell the tins. It had reprints that make decks more accessible (Blue-Eyes, Dark Magician), reprinting meta staples (Accesscode, Apollousa), and some good generic cards (Gold Sarc, Prep of Rites). This is a decent reprint set. It did its job

While I expected the set would be mid at best, I feel Fenrir would've been better than Sol and Luna... Regardless, I'm still going to be collecting as many Droll & Lock birds as possible now that the superior art (imo) is no longer stuck as a gold rare. Playsets of alt art droll in every rarity would be ideal, but I'll stick to playing supers and/or secrets in my mainboard (or side if I'm not playing trickstar)

Rarity 1 had higher highs but lower lows. Rarity 2 will be fine but they held stuff back for Rarity 3. Also, alt arts dont count towards the 79 card count. They are just a bonus.

I think the set is decent at best but RC1 blows it out of the water. Way more desirable cards, better staples, more focused product. RC2 feels like they didn’t really have a direction of what to put in the set, they just said “OH SHIT RC1 DID SO GOOD LETS DO IT AGAIN!!!” And that’s why this set doesn’t feel as good as it could’ve been.

I think everyone has the right to complain about the cards in the set, but in terms of what the set is it’s still amazing. The point of the set is to decrease the price of cards, whike bumping or giving new rarities to cards, while giving a fun experience when being opened. On that aspect the set has absolutely succeeded again. As always with sequels, it’s not going to live up to the hype of the original. However, I think the choices are good, there’s loads for retro format players. Budget reprints of staples like accesscode and even cool alt arts. It’s not a bad set, it’s just mid compared to the god set that was RC 1.

Problem ive got is so many of these are so mediocre. Wouldve been great to see more generics. Syncros and xyz feel so mediocre. Trident dragon not there makes no sense. Delicious memory wouldve been Purrfect. Thrust wouldve been great considering youre promoting cards like ultimate slayer. Heck even some Orcust cards!

When RC2 was announced, i had cautious optimism since rc1 was such a smash hit. After spoilers, i have zero interest in this product and more likely to buy a rc1 box than 2 now lol. 100% garbage tier tcg product that will likely be forgotten about in a year
