Something i try to do when planning trips down unknowns, is mapping it out on Gaia, and looking for pulloffs/camp spots. Usually topographical maps and google earth helps too. Plus then i have GPS coordinates if heaven forbid i need something or something happens.

That's a really good idea to do pre-checks I probably should do it a little more often. I do like to use Gaia to track me if I go to unknown areas and I always try to bring enough food and water just in case I get stuck out there for days

@@beachlander yes! I like to make a pre route with pre set waypoints just in case. If you have premium you can download maps too which is nice. It certainly helps
