Would love to see how you package these. Also, have you found soap cakes to sell well on websites or do they do better at craft shows/farmer's markets?

Personally for me they dont sell at all. All the cakes and cupcakes that I sell are generally for wholesale orders. Where I live they just dont do well. But some people sell them like crazy. I love making them. lol. When I package them for my website I use the party bags you can get at Dollar Generaly. Usually 20 or 25 in a pack for $1. The cake slice fits perfectly down in the bag and I tie it with a ribbon. You can label the bottom of the soap slice or I do the back side. The fattest part of the cake.

@@BeScentedSupply thanks Jen for the input. I will try a cake and some cupcakes and see how they do. If they don't sell off my site, then I will just include with my donations to the homeless shelters. I haven't done any shows where we just moved and now we are moving again in June, so will probably hold off on shows until we get moved and settled. I won't know if they will sell for me if I don't try.

LynnAl3022 I generally put it in my oven but keep the door part way open so it doesn’t overheat. It’s in the oven just to be out of the way :)

The cake turned out beautiful, Jen! Is it for someone's Easter cake? Sure looks like one. I know it's a tad early, but the time it takes to cure, wrap and ship, it'll be about the right time. That seems shocking, but I have a feeling this year is going to fly by!

ladymitch32 sunshine no I didn’t bake it. I just put it in the oven to be out of the way. For wholesale all I do is put the soap is bubble wrap. The customer wraps them

Just curious what the name of the micas & fragrance we’re used ? Obviously by mentioning what name of the micas and fragrance that were used is advertising the fantastic products ‘Bescented’ carries, but since its not mentioned, there had to be a reason, & I was just wondering why ? I use the Press N Seal even if it's just one color. Cleanup is SO MUCH EASIER.
