General Hospital sees a peculiar relationship between Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) has fans wondering about his true intentions. Brennan, previously played by Charles Mesure, has shown an unusual interest in Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) and her daughter, Josslyn. His sudden curiosity in Josslyn, who is still grieving her boyfriend Dex Heller's (Evan Hofer) death, is raising eyebrows. Intriguingly, Brennan might be using his charm on Carly to fulfill an undisclosed agenda related to Josslyn on the ABC soap opera.

I really wish Charles Mesure would return. I have nothing against the new actor playing Brennan, but the chemistry between Carly and the original Brennan was absolutely electric. In fact, Charles Mesure had incredible chemistry with just about any woman on GH! Unfortunately, I just don’t see the new Brennan having the same staying power. Chris McKenna is talented, but he comes across as too plain and nice for this role. I hate to say it, but it’s true! One thing I’ve noticed about GH-they have a knack for casting the perfect person in a new role, but keeping them on the canvas is another story entirely.😥

Charles Mesure left the show, it's not like he was fired. Perhaps they should've kept looking for an appropriate recast because, honestly, even though I was no fan of Brennan at first, I was kind of starting to warm up to him a bit BEFORE they went and recast him with this guy, Chris McKenna. No disrespect to the actor himself, of course. He seems cool. Just maybe not right for this role. And the character of Jack Brennan has definitely changed now with the change of the actor as well. Just like Emma has completely changed for the worse with the recast of this new actress.

I'm a big fan of recasting characters when actors decide to leave, but they need to find the best recast. Chris McKenna is a totally different Jack Brennan. I can't see this version romancing Carly or charming Josslyn into a new career. They need to put out a wide casting call and carefully select a new exotic actor. Then recast their recast. If they don't want to find someone that the fans could embrace they way they did Charles's version, they should just let Valentin take him out. Then we would have Valentin's sorrow over accusing Jack without proof and killing a long time friend in error.

I agree with you, Belynda! 🙂 I first noticed, Jack's interest in Joss, when he was at Carly's for Christmas.. I wasn't sure, why, what was up, but, the interest, was definitely there.. I wondered at first, if it was about Dex, when he offered his condolences to her.. When Joss asked, how he knew they were dating, he sort of hesitated, then told her, Carly must have told him.. I do think you're right though, about Jack wanting to recruit Joss.. And, like you, I do think there's more to it, than just a recruitment test.. I've been interested in this, since December.. So I'm anxious to see, where it goes.. 😊 Thank you, belynda! I appreciate all you do for us..

Absolutely do not like the actor that replaced Charles Mesure. Charles perfectly fit the character and he will always be Brennan to me. They should have recast with someone of equal swagger, natural accent and charisma. I was so excited to see Brennan and Carly in a romantic relationship, but no longer. Hope that story line changes and Carly moves on and Brennan just disappears. Would rather see an end to the character than a poor replacement.

If Brennan's testing Joss for WSB material, I think Carly's first reaction would be opposition. While it would be Josslyn's decision if Brennan offered her a position, I doubt Carly would be happy if her daughter accepted. She'd talk to Joss about the danger.

I also think that's the reason why Charles Mesure left because he doesn't like the storyline that GH gave him about pushing to investigate Cyrus, who is a dangerous man. I was kinda suprised that you didn't do a video regarding Charles leaving and the recast. It seems like this just came out of nowhere or did i miss something? They tape around 6 weeks ahead and normally we know someone will be leaving and if they are being recast weeks before it's happening on screen. Maybe i missed a memo sometime in the past few weeks. Its very possible, this is a horrible time if year for me. February 3rd was the 2nd anniversary of my best friends suicide and then 9 days later, next week the second anniversary of my other best friends 22 year old son taking his life the same way my beloved friend did. I have lost all interest in Jack and Carly now that Charles Mesure has left. They should have never aired the scenes in Germany if they knew Chatles was leaving. No way. I'd much rather see Josslyn in the WSB than Kristina. Kristina has zero instinct at all; all she does is make bigger messes for people to have to clean up after her. She's way too hot-headed and flies off the handle WAY too easily to run Sonny's business, never mind be part of a spy agency. She'd give things away immediately with her behavior.
