I never watched Soap Net back then but I was started watching GH in 1979 the start of Laura as a teenager with Rick and Leslie I was in grade school back then and remember racing home to watch GH, wonderful days 😊❤❤

Tony Geary & Genie Francis So Legendary . I am A Huge Fan of Classic GH !! I got hooked because my mom was already watching when I was a Small Girl in Elementary school . I got hooked at age 15 in 1980. Love the80s,90s & on up to about 2014., These are my favorite years . The Characters ,The storylines ,All the Amazing Actors . So many have either passed away or departed from the Show . 😢❤🎉😊 General Hospital ,The Y&R & B& B my Ultimate Favourites

Tony wasn't that typical leading man per se, but he has so much charisma. That charisma and his ability to develop chemistry with his co stars is what made him a fantastic leading man ❤

I was only 2 when they got married but in 93 I started watching it because of them and fell in love with lucky. I have watched all youtube videos up until she had lulu( i did until 2002) and i have never seen this video. Thanks for posting.

I used to run home from school to catch Luke and Laura. When they got married, I was in college. We had standing room only in every lounge and every dorm room that had a TV. I was with a huge bunch of friends in one room. We all screamed like crazy when Scotty showed up. The thing that gets me the most about this love story, is it didn't end right. I can't explain why I'm so invested in Luke and Laura reuniting, even though it won't ever happen. They sold it to us so well, almost to the point you believed it was real. I usually don't get so deep into any show, storyline, character or actor, but Luke and Laura just got to me.

But it meant nothing like what we all wanted it, we knew she was only here for a moment and really expected them to reconnect. They did not. And that was sad for a lot of lifelong fans!

So crazy how they just sweeped the fact that this "relationbship" started in rape under the rug lol. Gloria Monty was a TV Production genious for sure. But to be honest she shouldve been ashamed of the terrible message she sent to young victims of acquaintance rape back then. When Tony Geary did public appearances young girls would scream "Rape me Luke! Rape me!" Love me or hate me but I firmly believe that Gloria had to answer for this story when she stood before God now that she has passed on. Not saying she went to hell or didnt have faith. But this is one of her deeds and we must all stand before God to be judged for our deeds in the body both good and bad. I hope she had the forgiveness of Jesus SMH.

I won't get into the religious portion of your response. But it was a horrible message that was being sent having Laura fall in love with her rapist. I was and am a Laura fan, but was extremely disappointed with where her story went in the direct aftermath. GH finally tried to deal honestly with it in the late '90s and some fans were livid. The sad news is that soaps are still sending out lousy messages along these lines. On B & B, they have Hope lusting for and falling in love with the man who kept the truth about her previously thought dead baby from her. And he did several other heinous things as well. And yet there's a host of fans who salivate over the pairing. Evidently responsible storytelling isn't a concern for some viewers. Also on B & B, they had a man go to bed with a woman who it should've been clear wasn't in her right mind at the time. And then to make it worse, they had everyone tell him he wasn't to blame. And then soap producers wonder why the audience keeps dwindling? They need to wake up and quit writing storylines with the sensibilities of fifty plus years ago.
