the whole karen thing needs to be talked more. I see people mock her for this "emo" style but as a teenager who doesn't have the ability to understand fully everything, i want someone to actually explain Karen's behavior. Unfortunately Karen is a side character so her problems weren't that important in the rest of the series and even if i don't like her i don't like how they "touched" such a storyline only to forget it later, idk.

I watched season 1 years ago but from these snippets and personal experience with this I think she’s rebelling because of how strict her upbringing is. She is confined within the house because of her mum’s condition and having a strict father. Her only sense or act of freedom is through her body and being sexually desirable so that’s probably why she does those things with boys. This episode is definitely another example of her becoming something her father hates as a final f*** you to him. This happens a lot with teenagers who are suppressed they end up exploding and acting out and it’s kind of euphoric to just feel a sense of idgaf abt the consequences i’m just gnna do whatever I feel like doing. P.S: this is just my interpretation btw…I hope it helps.

I feel like the consensus is that Frank was raped, he was pressured and said no. He wasn’t trying to pull her off but then again he was high and drunk. I’m not saying the scene was any easier to watch because it wasn’t. Edit: Consent must be given enthusiastically, and being under the influence at any stage of being under that influence does not give the perpetrator consent. And though Frank is flawed, even if he does many many bad things, NO ONE DESERVES TO BE RAPED.

the whole frank/karen scene always creates such a divide with reactors. as some other people in the comments here have said i think we as viewers are used to seeing frank as the villain (because he usually is), so it's hard people to see him as the victim in this situation, especially since karen is a minor. but he was too high to consent, and even said no repeatedly, so i do think at the end of the day, karen raped him. it's so messy and more craziness is coming up, can't wait to see your reaction to the finale!!

So I guess it’s just a bit confusing to me as to why you’d be more disturbed by her scene with Frank, than Ian’s multiple scenes with Cash (I think that’s his name… his boss.)
