as someone with social anxiety (pre-dating the pandemic), shiela never fails to touch my heart, yet u dont need to be suffering from what she suffers, agoraphobia is way stronger and heavier than social anxiety, yet the actress is a MONSTER that all u need is empathy, and she never fails to twist the knife in ya. i love that every character can touch home without needing for their's to be ur same struggle. oh man, what id give to be able to watch this show again from zero. u lucky bastard

I’ve had love for many friends in every community. Lost a lot too. Even campaigned for lgbtq+ rights and social justice for several years. I’m one of those straight guys that likes getting hit on… by anyone really 🤣 you know what I mean? A compliment is a compliment and I take em where I can. Technically Cameron Monaghan (Ian) was 17 when filming and that's the age of consent in Illinois, but Noel Fisher just wasn't comfortable with it until he was older. The guy who played Kash tho... Kash is a character i dont feel bad for at all. i think his a shitty person and so is his wife for allowing it to continue (i get this show most character are morally grey). I get that his a closeted muslim men stuck in a miserable marriage cause his following what his "supposed" to do but his a full grown adult taking advantage of a gay closeted kid. Ian is a character that i related to A LOT as a young closeted gay teenager(pretty sure this show had 3 to 4 seasons when i binged it and i was 14). I grew up in a similar area to Ian. You know the isolation, afraid what would someone do if they found out and desperate to have that connection with someone. And Kash took advantage of that. But now Ian found that connection with someone his own age. If you havnt figured out Ian and Mickey are a fanfavorites. The actors/characters have great chemistry with each other. Even tho the best thing about Mickey at the start was that he wasnt an adult. Mickey wasnt planned to stick around but the actor played him so well that he made him very likeable and became a fanfvorite so he stuck around.
