I know this song is about addiction and sobriety, however this is an anthem for people battling mental health as well! I battle depression, anxiety and CPTSD, this song speaks to my soul. Addictions run high in my family. I fell to alcohol and several other dugs very early in life. I still partake but I've made myself not like the taste. I don't battle with that anymore and now it me against me demons. Fighting them sober isn't easy but it can be done. Now fighting the depression everyday with out my liquor and pills is a constant battle.Tom lays the road out there folks. That path is paved. There are bumps and there are potholes. But dude he's paving the way. All we have to do is listen.

As a Canadian, slightly lol older than Madchild. I can tell you what he spits in this song is the truth. Coloured career he has had. Swollen Members got together right in the start of the 90’s. They flew up the charts so fast. But they had issues with the law and open battles with labels and rappers. When Madchild first started the battle ax label he had no clue was he was doing and had to learn as he went. Smart cookie but ran with the Hell Angels and that certainly bit him and swollen members in the ass. For the longest time he wasn’t even allowed in the US. Guess he finally won that battle. He is a great battle rapper. Won several here in Canada. If you’re going to go look back at his career there are several songs you should check out and you will see and hear the ups and downs. It’s a great journey. Personally I think you should check out Take it back, members only, bring it home, fuel injected and pressure. Pressure came out after one of their falls from the top. It was like their big ten year comeback. I know this is long. The group and his history is worth your time. You won’t be disappointed.

Not big on Madchild's backstory but Lulu was his dog that he had to bury. He was in the rap group Swollen members. Apparently he burned too many bridges. Tom often does Wednesday night livestreams on Facebook to promote his merch or a new video. In there in the question and answer phase someone asked Tom what he thought about Madchild. Tom pretty much insulted Madchild. Madchild found out about it, and there was something brewing. They were to meet at a restaurant and Tom made fun of Madchild while he was walking down the street, and was about to start something. Tensions cooled they had dinner, there was a good vibe, then Madchild came to Tom's house for awhile, and cut an entire album together called 'Killing the Neighbors'. Because Madchild didn't want to leak the info on the project, he couldn't mention Tom's name. But you hear in a radio interview how he credits Tom for being the better man in an argument, and was helping him rebuild his career.
