One of my favorite songs from Charlie's Roots. Excellent lead vocals by Christopher "Tambu" Herbert. Classic!

Thanks Mr. Ronald Newton! This was indeed one of my selections by Charlie's Roots with the song "Soca Music Sweet" feat. the lead vocals of Chris "Tambu" Herbert from 1986! I was actually born that same year, when this album The Hammer came out on Lypsoland!

The tune you're refurring to is Janette by Shadow from 1987. That's his song with the lyrics you mentioned.
