This reminds me of El Nino in 83'. Weather conditions are close to those days. Any transplants to SoCal. This was typical, as I remember in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. Probably with more thunder and lighting than what's happening today.

The grapevine was often closed in those days, due to snow and icy conditions. I lived in Lancaster then, and we had snow a few times in the desert. The Devils Punchbowl, where I love to hike, always had snow. Not anymore though. I'm glad for it this year.

It would have to rain 10" a day for a few years to fill Lake Powell. I was there in 2003 and it was down 85 ft. Now it's just 25% of capacity.
