MIL-STRD/SPEC= minimum standard at the cheapest price. Always make it better then MIL-SPEC. Most People don't know what MIL-SPEC really means

@@TheChaztor yea I work on helicopters. They set a bare minimum standard for each product they require. A manufacturer has to make that product and submit it to testing to see if it passes. A lot of product it doesn’t matter what the product is made out of as long as it passes. Sometimes it’s cheap materials and is constantly replaced. But it passed the standard. Really comes down more to the manufacturer making the product and how much profit margin they want.

There is some sense there but in my experience with the early 90's Army field artillery nothing was low quality. Maybe something not the best design but still built with high quality materials and at least attempted durability. This is anecdotal but I still have a utility brush built by Industries of the Blind that shows no wear. Its cleaned HUMMVEs, and hundreds of wheels and other tough tasks. Its going to be around with the cockroaches when we are all gone. @@dats2fast
