But a public school district should approach it objectively. politics should be objective and use critical thinking. At least our school children don’t get shot all the time. And we are the 5th largest economy. Property taxes are lower than in Texas. I know people who moved back to Cali from Texas after discovering that just because income tax is lower doesn’t mean life is cheaper. We also have a good system that helps many people. When I got sick and was presented with a $40k bill at a time where I had no insurance the state took care of it. People in other states don’t have that luxury. This is not something that should be involved in class. If he wants to go on a tirade, do it outside of school hours and off school property. Also he claims Trump is a rapist? I don't know of any rape convictions or even charges against Trump. Rape is a pretty serious thing. Maybe someone should call this teacher a rapist, I wonder how he would feel about someone saying he is something he is not. There is a difference between fact, opinions, and hearsay. I certainly would not want that person being my teacher. If they said the same thing about Biden or Obama I wouldn't want them as a teacher. It isn't just because it is Trump, but 1) it's not something for the teacher to discuss biased politics in his class. The teacher should be neutra. 2) He's saying stuff that is factually incorrect and he is supposed to be a HISTORY teacher? I guess he needs to brush up on history (or even current events) a bit. So not only would I not want him as my teacher, I wouldn't want him being a teacher of any of my kids or nieces/nephews.

So these kids think it’s targeted to such teacher but they live in the most Democratic and “Liberal” state who vote for Harris 60-70%. Also these kids also say that “he shouldn’t say it like that” and he didn’t mean it so he’s being put on leave is unfair. Does it sound familiar? So it’s ok for their teacher to say stuff like that but not Trump. The amount of brainwash and double standard is sad. Hope these kids see common sense when they grow up a little bit but I’m not sure since it’s their parents that is a part of this too. I’m afraid to send my kid to California public school.
