@@zydration3538 I think the aspect they're saying doesn't exist in the states is the fact that the dinosaurs are literally reaching into the ride vehicle practically hitting you. Nobody is saying that outdoor ghost trains don't exist in the US
@sometoaster617814 күн бұрын
I don't get why people are hating on this so much. Clearly, a lot of time and effort was taken to make this. It's a great ride despite the obvious budget restrictions. Sure, them lunging into the cart is dangerous, but those things are probably made of rubber or something. It won't kill you, maybe a bruise at worst. Instead of trashing on it and talking about copyright, let's just appreciate the art
@colbystearns506613 күн бұрын
We're just spoiled in the US by higher budget attractions, given the limitations this actually looks pretty cool and it's neat that the "animatronics" are live actors, it makes the whole experience feel even more spontaneous. That being said I'd be terrified to go on this knowing they actually touch you.
@mycroft1613 күн бұрын
@colbystearns5066 I've been to parks in the US that don't match up to this level of theme. This is actually a pretty decently put together ride. And having the heads come inside is a wild idea that actually looks pretty fun as it is just enough to force you to avoid it. The animations are on about the same level as Universal's on the original ride. That Raptor on the jeep at the end looks really good. Some fake fire around the fuel barrels would be icing on the cake but I get why not. This ride probably requires very little maintenance. Very simple ride system. Simple but effective animatronics. It should be overgrown so minimal plant trimming. It's effective at scares and being way more than just a ride through. Imagine if the Indiana Jones giant snake came INTO the vehicle, even if the right side seats were left intentionally empty for safety. It would still massively amp up the scare of that moment. I'm guessing the country this is in simply doesn't give a flying fart in a jar about copyright making it basically impossible to sue over it. And honestly, I don't think I would try. It's pretty solid free promotion of the IP that is within the idea of the IP. I'd take advantage of it amd market merch and films more in that area. Maybe even enter a profit sharing deal with them rather than outrigh shut them down. Hey, we will provide you awesome merch, you get 20% of sales. Both now make money off it, actual IP merch better quality than this park ever could afford, and tag it all with, "now see the movie!" Or sell the movies in the park. Lawyers like shutting things down when they could make deals, everyone wins, more money on a long term basis.

At universal studios here in Hollywood, California, I had a cast member that played Norman Bates follow our tram and come up to me to scare me, as I was sitting in the last car. It was scary and fun even though it wasn’t Halloween Scary Nights. I actually enjoy the interaction with the cast members as they get into their roles. As for copyright, USA has stolen many resources from other countries, including land, so…let people have fun with their families and loved ones without paying extravagant and outrageous prices.

You would need to sign a waiver for a ride like this in the US
@righthandstep514 күн бұрын
Oh totally
@mycroft1613 күн бұрын
I don't think it would be allowed even then. You know some Karen would take the entire park to court over some minor scrape or bruise. Or their 3 year old who would be traumatized. This would simply never happen. The park itself would have lawyers that would just flatly say no to even starting construction. It would be a hell of a waiver to sign. Amd there would have to be a literal mountain of signage stating "There is a very real chance you may receive minor injuries on this ride. Ride at your own risk." "By ridding this attraction you agree to waive all rights to hold the park responsible for any injury sustained on this attraction. Please see waiver for complete list and explanation of rights waived." Even then I guarantee someone finds a loophole and bankrupts the company for billions as a class action of some kind.
