Narrows was an amazing hike. Angels landing was closed when we were there due to someone falling off that morning.

Narrows is at the end of the shuttle line, you walk about a mile to get to the start of it, and you go as far as you want and come back the same way, unless you do the whole thing, which requires a permit. Most people turn around after the really tight section I believe called wall.

I will just say, the scariest thing about Angel's landing is finding a place to use the restroom... Hardly any place near the top for that. So good luck holding your pee, poop for 6 hours ish. The hike is not that scary if you aren't afraid of heights. Because lets face it, if you were, you wouldn't go on this hike. Also I don't know if anyone else mention this, bring some gloves! those metal chains do get hot and well dirty. I think it is a great idea to rent to hiking stick for the narrows as you see some people do in the video, especially 2 days after the rain, the water level is pretty high in places, the stick help test the height of the ground.

My dad made me and my sister both hike angles landing and the hole narrows in ONE DAY oh and.. WE WERE BOTH TEN! oh the horror

Would regular nike running shoes be okay for the narrow hike?

Yes. but we highly recommend trail runner/hiking shoes with good traction/grip since the rocks can be very slippery.

I'd rather do angels landing than walk the river in zion. I've been to the mouth of iit. Just look at the erosion, you can see exactly how much water comes through there. Un predictably.. I was on lake powell when that storm hit and all those people were in there. The storm got where we were too and ruined two of our tents and nearly sank our boat..

It is pretty safe, they always have reports telling you about the height of the water, and forecast. Don't go when there is rain coming, and usually a day after the rain, the level goes down by a lot, done this multiple times, I think the highest it goes is about shoulder height for someone 5'6
