Gingerbread Mickey's are also available in the lobby of the Grand Californian. The line to get them is quite short, however, they're a couple dollars more than in the parks.

We are here too same time ; rope dropped Star Wars land and even getting to rope drop a little late with the line wrapped around far beyond the actual Que ; glad we stuck with it - it moved at a real steady pace

Just wondering if you have any tips for Christmas at the parks after New Years! I know the last day of Christmas is January 7th, so should we expect Small World and Haunted Mansion to close on the 8th? Do you expect New Years Day and the last day of the season to be extra busy? Any other things we should be aware of when choosing a date to visit around that time? I would like to catch Christmas at DL if I can but we might have to go a few days after it ends. Just trying to gauge what that first week or so of the new year would be like. Love your tips! Great video 😊

Hard to say as I’ve never personally been in the park any earlier than January 7th before, but I would bet New Years Eve and New Years will be pretty busy. I’d expect the 4th-7th to be pretty solid options. The rides do end on the 8th. The 7th is the last day. They will be closed on the 8th guaranteed.

We plan to visit Disneyland for the first time in over ten years. ( there have been a lot of changes) I have a question about the DAS pass and how to use it. My daughter was approved for DAS due to medical issues. Some have said to use DAS, we need to talk with cast members at each ride, and others said there is an app for that. Who is correct? Thank you! Unfortunately, that’s something that I don’t have a lot of experience with and can’t tell you for certain. Some quick research online makes it sound like there should be an option in the app for you, but I just checked myself and do not see anything listed. But it may only appear for guests with DAS, so you’d probably have to look for it yourself. You should be able to ask any attraction cast member or guest services cast member for help and they should be aware of the procedure. So the first time might be a little bumpy, but everything should go smoothly after that.

Where is the schedule for the candy canes posted? What site? Different calendar dates on all these blogs and I can’t find Disney’s actual posted schedule.

You know, I could have sworn I saw it on Disney's own site, that's where I got my clip from in the video. But when I checked again, that was a 2 year old post. That means the dates I showed were wrong. Ugh! I made an edit to my video which should finalize in an hour or two removing that clip, but to answer your question, I can't find one either. Which is really odd. Disney usually puts it in their foodie guide, but I didn't see it this year. Hopefully what other websites are reporting is accurate, because we're showing up for it on the 19th!

You don’t need special tickets for Christmas? Just reservations?

Correct. Visiting at Christmas is like visiting any other time of year. There’s just more going on. Ticket prices might be a little higher (I don’t keep close tabs on those) because it’s not considered off season per se, but there are still cheaper days and more expensive days during the season. The tickets, though, aren’t more expensive than any other day throughout the year that shares the same tier pricing. Christmas time starts at the beginning of November at Disneyland and lasts through the first week of January.
