Came here because of your livechat! Firstly, Chelsea is my favorite, i just love her... I just recently bought a sample of Platinum Egoiste.. I've heard comparisons to Fierce and i kind of see it , especially in the opening .. even though Platinum Egoiste is old, it still holds up today i think.. might have to grab a full bottle and pay an insane price for such an old release lol

You guys were testing the reformulated version of Polo Sport made by L'Oreal products LLC which is complete trash. I can tell because the one you have has the blue spray atomizer. The vintage Polo Sport is made by Cosmair Inc and has a silver/chrome spray atomizer and is so much better. Waste of time with the reformulated version.

So fun to watch. I am 45 now and owned cool water, hugo, platinum egoiste and acqua di gio back in the 90s and 00s. AdG was a ground breaking fragrance back then. However, my favourite was Hugo Boss „elements“, which was discontinued unfortunately. Greetings from Frankfurt, Germany.

Hugo 'Green' was also my first frag i ever bought in 1996. Just bought it again for the 2nd time, and im blown away how good it is! Can't believe they didn't reformulate it! Thank the gods!

Tommy is great tons of compliments its got great projection , longevity and the price is right plus I doubt there are too many people wearing in these days so you wouldn't smell like everyone else there's some great reasons to add this to your rotation. And even if the attraction to this fragrance is mostly nostalgic. That could be even more beneficial depending on who you're trying to get noticed by while wearing it

The way she describes Polo Sport is exactly how I feel about it. I thought my bottle was bad when I got it in bc there is definitely "something else" in there lol. It kind of smells like the industrial cleaning products they used to clean "Leaps n' Bounds" or "Discovery Zone" back in the day and yet- I don't hate it lol. The nostalgia is just too strong

It's been reformulated. The new version with the blue spray atomizer is complete junk. The original with the silver spray atomizer is made by Cosmair Inc and it's beastly. The reformulated version isn't even worth buying because it smells like laundry detergent fabric softener and 2O minutes later it's gone.

Nice! American 90s and NZ 90s seem so different based on this selection haha, I totally get it the ralph laurens tommy hilfiger etc very americana. NZ it was all CK one and l'eau D'Issey. I guess here it was a bit more grunge style whereas there it was too but we didn't really have like the preppy 90210 sort of vibe as well. Only grunge hahaah :D

Colby Nye it’s just a clean scent. If you want a barbershop style fragrance I would suggest test it out and maybe check out Replica at the barbers. Personally we don’t wear this scent really, mainly because we just prefer different scent profiles, not that we don’t like the scent.

I never judge a scent when on paper. You only get the top notes and it doesn't give you middle notes and the dry down once that top note goes away. So you're only getting the initial hit and I'd never judge a scent based on that before wanting to spend the money

We test on paper as it’s the most neutral way to test a fragrance. Most perfumers do as well. Roja dove did an entire post about why they use tester paper to test fragrances. Always recommend trying a fragrance before you buy it. No reason to blind buy ever
