Definitely study up on your music! Know it inside and out. It's better to have 200 songs in your library you know really well than 2000 you don't. Better you know the music the better you'll be able to think about what will mix well with what. Hope you enjoy DJing mate!

They're Mackie CR3s, can't recommend them as I've had multiple pairs that have broken over the years. The Edifier R1280T are much better for the same price range of ~$100
