As a rangers fan when Gerrard managed us, Beale was always highlighted as the brains behind the tactics, he is a good guy n have loads of respects for the man, he’s still young but he has got way ahead of himself and has had massive jobs already starting off his managerial career, no disrespect to QPR but maybe didn’t have as much pressure there, but at clubs such as Rangers and Sunderland, massive clubs and high expectations he just couldn’t cope but still wouldn’t write the man off, think he can rebuild his reputation but should start off at smaller clubs, threw himself in the deepend taking on the challenge of managing both Rangers and Sunderland

I don't think Sunderland are better than any of the teams currently in the playoff spots (Ipswich Town, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion & Hull City). I would say their a top half team. So i think it's overly optimistic to expect a play off spot without strengthing the team. The owners are at fault, for sacking a perfectly good manager before him. And not investing in the club.

The lesson Beale should have learned from this is not to accept a job when your 2nd in command is a mate of your new boss, who he just promoted to Assistant Head Coach as a consolation for not being considered for the top job. Dodds is getting no flack and just grabbed the interim job to the end of the season. If the performances this season under Mowbray and Beale have nothing to do with Dodds then why do we even need him? I predict zero change in our one dimensional play. In the 3 games he was in charge he grabbed 2 wins by parking the bus but then in the third, an "easier" fixture, it was straight back to same old same old - and we lost! I didn't want Beale, mainly due to the way he left QPR, but was prepared to give him a chance. Not many fans were prepared to do that and jumped on anything and everything they could to criticise the guy. Even his London accent was a big issue for some! If we had held on for the win at Birmingham Beale would have had a higher PPG than Mowbray this season so he lost his job through a couple of defensive cock ups and a few missed chances. As Merse said, nothing much the coach can do about that standing on the sideline
