Boggles the mind. I mean Phil Thompson was a biased pundit with his Liverpool cap on all the time but what was Le Tiss crime? He was brilliant to listen to and very knowledgeable. This was a freak result. As a Man United fan I know Southampton are miles better than that and with a full strength team out 11 v 11 they will give any team in the country a hard days work. I also know that this result doesn't mean all of a sudden we are potential champions. We're a way off that just yet. Hopefully we will cement a top 4 spot. My thoughts are that the defender realised Martial touch to be arguably too heavy and it would run through to the keeper so try get out of the way. If Mike Dean felt sorry for them and didn’t correctly apply the law, Southampton’s next opponents could easily complain if Bednarek was available to play. And also, people complain about consistency, well you can’t have it both ways. If Luiz was sent off then Bednarek has to go as well
