Could have sworn I remember owning a pair of Nike boots around 2000 -2001 that had a similar pattern of bladed studs in a circular pattern towards the front like the Luna 2 , well I remember them being more of a triangle shape but somewhat circular.i don't recall any extra rotational freedom but, it looks kinda cool.

The MIJ model uses a different material to reinforce the forefoot of the soleplate, making it feel a little stiffer and more responsive. It’s not a huge difference IMO, but if you’re sensitive to that kind of thing, you’ll prefer the MIJ model. Otherwise, they’re pretty similar, more so than their leather models would be when comparing Elite to MIJ

MIJ has karvo insert in the forefoot, elites don’t. Upper on MIJ is slightly thinner as well and does soften up more than the elites.

It does not, nor does rubber lose its grip in a football boot application unless it’s severely dried out. Which shouldn’t really happen unless the boots are quite old

I’ve made videos about several FlyEase models in the past. In terms of fit, lockdown and general comfort, they’re not the best. But that’s not really the point. They serve a purpose for the people who need them, which is great!

Hey, I would like some help on if I should get the Nike Mercurial Vapor XVI Pro AG-Pro or the Mizuno Morelia Neo IV Beta Elite I play mostly on artificial grass and sometimes on regular grass I want to know what boots would last me longer and give me a better performance I found both boots for pretty much the same price so that isn't an issue.

Both will perform to same same high standard. As far as which one will last longer, it's nearly impossible to guess that. Should something go wrong though, for warranty purposes, actual AG specific boots would be the safer choice.

The Phantoms are definitely quite a bit wider through the forefoot and mid-foot compared to the Mercs. If you could do with the extra width, they shouldn't be an issue.

I have a question I've repped all nike boots with the phantoms gx 2 being my favorite/best fitting and I've wondered how do the new mercs feel. I owned a pair of the last mercs and I could not wear them I went true to size and size up but they are some of the most painful boots I've ever worn. All elites I work for nike but my store doesn't carry boots so I always just order them and I'm just wondering on the fit before I commit to spending close to $300

The upper of the new Mercs will be more like the GX 2 in terms of pliability, but the shaping is still very much like past Mercs. If you found them too tight before, I don’t see that being different for you with the new ones
