First time I saw an interview of this guy. The dude is so much more soft spoken than I thought. He doesn't feel the need to put forth a certain vibe that says Punk Rock Attitude. He talks about what he does like a plumber or janitor talks about their job. I respect that A LOT.

I saw Social D in...like 2001 I think. I was with my gf at the time, and she got us INTO his tour bus. I looked around noticed I was the only guy. Mike Ness gets on the bus, sees me, walks straight to me, grabs me by the neck, and says "what the fuck are you doing on here?" and throws me off the bus. I was horrified at the time, but looking back, he was the fucking man. True story swear to god.

It is so refreshing to have a singer/songwriter around the likes of Mike Ness. He is so articulate and passionate about what he does. He pulls no punches and is all business. Unlike bands such as Motely Crew and Guns and Roses who BULLSHIT about all the women they had sex with and all the drugs they ingested. Like thats supposed to be so badass.They send a bad message out to young people. It's not cool to go to hell and be lucky to come back. I think Mike conveys that in his music.
