Let me know your thoughts below! I spend time on social media to see what is in as far as trends and memes for my future video ideas, which brought this idea of a video to me.

Honestly, I couldn’t agree more Max. Once again you continue to make these videos funny yet informative and I do enjoy the “podcasty” feel to the video.

I find it funny how these people are ok to abuse these stuff over and over to the point it suck the fun out of the game and they feel good about doing it after winning the match but the moment I start to use a shotgun specially semi auto to counter them and win the match they start to cry about what I use and make my loadout illegal

It makes me wonder if people who actually search videos like that are having fun in the game or are just playing to prove that they are better? I feel like modern gaming has turned into people taking away fun aspect of these games and turned it into a mindset of "must be better than anyone". Like ALMOST everyone I see in cod lobbies atm is using their gold gun with a "meta" build and not trying to have fun with the mass variety of weapon systems available to them.

It really is interesting to see it unfold after a couple days post launch. I’m curious how it’ll continue, and what the player count will be. I know Warzone 2 will bring a lot of people in though

Agree yeet, I don't completely get it. Play the game, figure out what works for you. Nothing wrong with seeing what some of the suggestions are, but no one plays the same so use that info to make your experience better. Shouldn't always conform to what the majority is saying is "best".

This year, I don’t want to watch any “meta” videos. I’ve been trying so many random weapon combos that get suggested by you, dumpy, tazer, and rellik.

I agree part of any game is the mystery. And with the way current internet access is a lot of mystery is stripped away. And that leads to gaming experience feeling hollow. Imagine if you favorite book was reveled to you in TikTok’s before you got to read it all the twists and turns revealed. Character arks dissected and analyzed before you could enjoy them and make your own assumptions. The thing I hate most is when people boil things down to only Meta choices. It stifles creativity. People say X gun is the best. But a lot of times it’s only if you can properly utilize it. Maybe another gun is best for you because you are able to use it properly. That’s my thoughts.

I agree, and I understand that call of duty always has a meta weapon that people are searching for. MWII feels so different that a lot of weapons perform well. The book analogy is a great one

Agree its stops you find out what class or gun you like to use as you have to use the same gun as everyone else to be able to have a chance in a gun fight

I realize more and more every day just how much I miss when people just played games for fun and figured things out as they went. Like back in the Halo 3 hayday, when rumors about unlocking the Recon armor circulated through nightly party chats, and you had to ask a friend of a friend to show you all the different easter eggs you never noticed on your playthroughs. When you just used whatever guns you thought looked cool when you played COD, until you learned certain ones were better than others, yet everyone still had their own little niche. Now you hop into MWII a week from launch and everyone is just sprint jumping around corners using the same max ADS marksman rifles with iron sights. It's unbelievably depressing

I really believe that hardcore will change the shape of the game. I’m really looking forward to hardcore coming because those mega weapons won’t always work. The game pace will be a bit slower and more methodical as well. Boy, was Halo 3 an incredible gaming experience when it was out. I remember scouring the maps for hours trying to find the skulls

Let me tell ya, You are spot on. As a former military member, 36 year old gamer the nostalgia effect is real. Been gaming my whole life. I got really hooked with the game S.O.C.O.M. US Navy SEALS. I still compare games to that dinosaur. Its kind of a pro and a con to have these feelings. It's great to remember the days of gaming before the content creators telling us what is the best of the best and finding out for ourselves as you mentioned but then I think pf the younger generation and how lucky they are they don't have those memories because this is normal to them. This is all they know. I totally understand the desire to watch others to get this info. We are in the age of I need all the information and as quick as possible. I have fallen into these videos many times. It's kind of like the toilet paper craze we had a while back. I went to the store and bought a bunch of toilet paper. NOT because I was one of the dooms day toilet paper preppers but I told the cashier "hey, I'm not like these other lunatics. I'm only buying this much because I feel like I have to, otherwise I'll be wiping my butt like I use to back in the sand box." So the same thing applies here. If everyone else is getting this info and using it I better to otherwise I'll be at a disadvantage. You said it best...F.O.M.O. Anyways, great video as always and hope to see you on the battlefield!

I can see both sides here. People who don't have much time but wanna increase their odds, then also the people who wanna explore the game and make their own discoveries and don't want to have that exploration ruined. If you're the second person, it's hard to ignore that content when media is getting more and more condensed down and hyper-consumed. If you're the first person there is almost too much information where most of it is either regurgitated or incorrect or it gets outdated quickly. Social media - tiktok and various shorts especially are ruining this for a lot of people who wanna find stuff out themselves.

totally agree, these meta chasers ruin games. however comma sweats have always existed in friendly competition, which is what videogames outside of a tourney or scrimmages are, casual no stakes competition, yes that includes "ranked" modes.

As a casual cod player with a job and family, I don't have this problem whatsoever. I just play the game and it's fun, but then again CoD never worked it's way into my YT algorithm. Probably going to change now that I've watched this though...

@@SergeantMadmax yeah exactly. Some games are finding ways to give you that same feeling though. In Insurgency Sandstorm, for instance, it has a pretty high learning curb and there really isn't a meta in terms of weapons. It's really just what suits your style of play, so you can experiment by throwing some whacky attachments on a grease gun and still have fun playing the game. I realize games like that aren't for everyone, do I don't know how you could apply what Insurgency Sandstorm does right to other games.

Everyone who makes "best _____ in mw2" videos are just pining for clicks and exactly what social media wants. I want to use what I like to use and have fun (sometimes) with a new game without the constant flood of these clickbaity videos for the next two years. Solid video man

I definitely agree. People defend skill based matchmaking without any consideration that, maybe, theres a reason why people who played at CoD's peaks stuck around and enjoyed the old games which just randomized and kept lobbies together. People on Twitter reuse the same argument that we just want to pub stomp every match but fail to realize that we all don't play/experience the same game and sense of fun.
