I cried the whole way through this video. You can see that you’ve experienced so much in your short lifetime so far. I can resonate with feeling so alone as a young adult and those times never leave you as a person however you can see how far you have come and how strong you really are. These authentic videos are what it’s all about. The points you raised in this video not a lot of people would be able to speak about let alone publish on a public platform. You’re rocking it, just keep going x

As someone with OCD (reoccurring unwanted intrusive thoughts, that will then lead the sufferer to perform compulsions to bring down their anxiety) it is HUGE that someone is talking so publicly about experiencing them. I also experience catastrophic thinking and find it really hard, it means a lot for someone to share this online. Thank you Elle x
@annabelle38662 жыл бұрын
This is what happens to me. Since I was so young. Those compulsions make me late for interviews, my work, just getting out the door sometimes. Touching something “the right way”. Or until it “feels right”. It really does take over your life & this open discussion about it is SO important. I’m so glad influences are using their platform for good💖💖
@jane62612 жыл бұрын
@@annabelle3866 Bless you! They’re so so hard to deal with. Learning about OCD (lots of which I did on Instagram) and reading about it in books really helped with coping with it and stopping compulsions (“overcoming unwanted intrusive thoughts” is a good book). I couldn’t agree more that it’s vital for people with a platform normalising it - you’ll find kids/teens being much more open and honest about them now knowing that people they look up to have them too! Hope you’re okay 💕

Hi Elle, you’re very brave to open up so much it shows huge strength. I have openly battled with mental health disorders since I was 6. I became housebound with agoraphobia at 18 for 8 years and as a singer continued performing on KZbin. It was so hard to be dealing with such huge things at a young age and having trolls and negative comments about everything from my looks, my body, my voice, which while we’re smaller in ratio to lovely supportive comments really affected me. While I’m still dealing with severe anxiety, panic attacks, depression and agoraphobia, over the last few years I’ve started leaving my home and I’m able to cope more with any negative comments. Intrusive and catastrophic thoughts are a part of my daily life but I find it hard to speak out about it. Past trauma is so hard to deal with so I applaud you for speaking about this. I really connected with you when you said you’ve got a lot that has happened in your life that you’ve never shared and perhaps you will one day, just as I may too. I have also opened myself up to spirituality and it really can be life changing. You’re growing so much and it’s so lovely to see. Sending you love 💖

Morning my lovely. I just wanted to message to say thank you SO MUCH for touching on your inner child & growing up needing a adult which wasn’t always present when you needed in emotional & physical ways. & since becoming a mum making sure you are that person for saint. Honestly it touched my heart in so many ways as I’ve had similar upbringing in regards of my parents dealing with their own shit & sometimes me being lonely & my biggest fear is having my two boys experience the same from my past trauma. No matter how you end up sharing that chapter of your life I want you to know you’ll have endless support as I’m sure many more aswell as me can relate & I just want to thank you for feeling like the best friend & the warm cuppa t we all need. Always here girlie. Endless thank yous, the feelings that re surface when you become a mum can be so triggering 💓💓💓

Loved this video, an at 24 minutes in you said something so relatable to me and it’s is so true! When I had my first son, it totally changed my mindset, the way I felt, thought, treated people, spoke to people… when you become a mum you become the Upgrade of yourself I feel. You become more compassionate, considerate, kind etc… purely because (well for me, maybe others) having a child gives you a new lease of life an purpose, something clicks and you think to yours in every situation would I want my son/daughter to be spoken to like this or treated like this etc… it’s a feeling that’s unexplainable but totally relatable
