I had no idea people were on welfare in Japan. I always assumed are the hardest workers and always have awesome jobs and get paid a lot.

I would suggest her to use “requisitioned labour force” rather than “forced labour”. Or “so called” forced labour at least. Because the Korean workers were paid under contracts.
The Korean Supreme Court has ruled that it can apply for individual claims. The Japanese court has also ruled that individual claims are alive. The government can’t interfere because Korea’s divided into three powers.

doptop tiptap The Japanese Supreme Court's ruling shows that the Japanese government's claims are wrong. China concluded a 1972 joint declaration on China and Japan and declared that it would abandon the claim of war compensation. In April 2007, the Supreme Court of Japan rejected the lawsuits of Chinese victims, citing a joint statement in the ruling, saying, "The annulment of claims under the joint statement means the right to demand a trial, The substantive rights of the individual claims are not extinguished. " At the same time, he advised Nishimatsu Construction Co., a voluntary corporation, to "voluntarily rescue victims of damage claims." This law applies equally to victims of conscription in Korea. The Japanese government has highlighted only the fact that the lawsuits of victims whose lawsuits were filed were finally rejected by the Supreme Court of Japan.

Some Guy u have to differentiate the difference between legal obligation (alive individual claims) and moral responsibility. As u conceded, 2007 ruling “explicitly” denied individual claims victims had been supposed to have. It means this issue isn’t a legal case anymore but a national problem in SK, that is to say, malfunction of SK’s government to convince their citizens to subscribe to law enforcement.
