I saw this lady in concert at the Forum way back in the day. She and Luther Vandross sang his hits and they Shared the stage. I was one of the few Caucasian women there and It was amazing and sang with all the thousands of people around me! We all came together for the love of music and how much our souls felt it! I will never forget it! Saw them both twice! A lady seated to my left kept yelling “Sing it baby!” She sang every song word for word!
