@Birdman Hi young lad, just was wondering... i know all across north america SPCA or shelters are to neuter every adopted animals but, you should check your local districs laws and verify with your actual or futur vet hospital and their opinion about it, your pup look fairly young and i've been told by my actual vet that it is not good for really young pups to be neuter before a certain age... maybe you can get all the infos with the vet hospital and if your pup is under the proper age for that procedure than let your vet know of the SPCA/Shelter actions... i know here in my city they don't make such a procedure under 6 or 8 months old pups, some even wait til one year old... from what i understood it disturbe the hormones and can affect some aspects of is health and growth as baby, they do not have the capacity to reproduce yet and some even dont have there things out yet... we had a litter of pups 14 years ago and i kept one pup for me and his things didn't came down till he was 9 months old and he didn't even cared to reproduce till he was forced into it by a thirsty female when he was already 5 years old... they can't be saying that they all experience desire for reproduction all before a year old... now i have a female since may 2019 and she since had 2 heat periods already and didn't let males climb her yet and she should turn 2 years old between end nov to early feb... not too accurate for dates sorry, it's hard to tell her real age coz when i got called to take that rescue in from the puppy mill, i was supposed to have a 2 y o male cane corso, but i ended up with a underfed 6 to 8 months old female Presa Canario and she was so under weight that she didn't star back her growth til a months and half or two after getting here... but ya all that to say that they SPCA can't use reproductive behaviors as an excuse to neuter an under 6 to 8 months pup, if i am right and all rules the same where you are as here than you should mention it to the vet hospital and with them advise the head office of Animals Protection services about it... even when i went to tag my dog they were trying to get me to neuter my dog, a rare expensive breed that didn't came from their shelter saying that my dog could get an infection from having her period and could die if she had babies from having also infection from it or CANCER..." ok, really " i tought... " you really believed the BS that come out of your mouth!?! Female of all types, humans and animals have had periods and babies for milleniums already, and you gonna try to tell peoples that being a normal female is dangerous, will give infections such as blood and uterine ones and cause us to have cancer!?!
