Can you Beat Terraria with 100x Larger Enemies? Today we try and beat our craziest challenge yet... An entire Terraria playthrough, but every enemy in the game including bosses are 10x larger! By using a stats change mod and increasing the enemy size multiplier to 1000%. We can enlarge all enemy sprites, hitboxes and projectiles accordingly, which will make for quite the chaotic playthrough! Can we beat the Moon lord with this modifier? Let's find out! Enjoy!

Actually, this is a video of it being done at 100x size. These monsters are 10x larger per dimension, but there are 2 dimensions in Terraria. That's 100x bigger. Look at the first blue slime. You could overlay 100 regular size blue slimes on that in photoshop.

@@rairb i say this because i remember that in a modded playthrough i did a few years ago the WOF was faster than normal (but still nowhere close to 10x) and he did exactly that, i was only able to beat the boss thanks to an extremely good melee armor set and the fact that the mod practically gave you a rod of discord with worse timing. It took me a few tries with mage armor before realizing that though

In case you're confused, it's actually 100 times bigger, as he multiplied by ten the height and the lenght of the enemies (just like when you change form for ex. cm² to dm²)

challenge idea: collect every furniture set. Set criteria for what furniture items are needed and what sets are required. The furniture should be placed in suitable housing using blocks in a similar family to the furniture. I think it would be interesting to watch considering Terraria's vast variety of furniture sets, most of which I've never used.

Your largest problem with the minecart was that you were still using the original minecart. Equipping literally any other minecart (except the mole) is 50% faster than the wooden one, bringing your top speed (if I remember correctly) around 65 m/s, rather than the mediocre 45 m/s. Minecarts are capable of outspeeding even skeleton prime.

At around 10:57 in the fight against Skeletron. I couldn't help but notice you didn't hammer the end of the minecart rail. This turns the rail there into a bumper rail. Which turns you around and keeps your momentum when you hit it. Making it so you don't suddenly stop when you reach the end of the minecart track. Just a tip in case you need a minecart track for your next challenge. Great video.

Seeing as other people have noted it, I'm pretty sure the reason why Moon Lord's sprite didn't change was because 100 of him would be way larger than the entire world height. He's the largest enemy in the game by far, so he couldn't fit within the confines of the world and just revert back to normal size. I initially thought he wasn't considered an enemy because he's part of the background, he can't damage you but you can't damage him technically, but then I thought about his core, because that would've been considered an enemy. And yet, it also doesn't change.

A lovely video and actually a pretty brilliant challenge premise, really liked watching! Though if I have one suggestion to make, it is absolutely to edit out the sounds of you taking in breaths. You tend to smack your lips or suck in breaths a lot, and it's quite distracting. Your VA could also use some work in evening out your emphasis placement on words, but that will just come with practice. Biggest VA improvement is editing out taking in breaths. Plus it'll help result in a cleaner audio experience!

It looked to me as though the enemies were scaled, each vertically and horizontally, by 10x. Meaning that you would have beaten the game with 100x larger enemies instead of 10x. A 10x larger enemy would be scaled by sqrt(10) in both dimensions, and the enemies look too large for this to be the case as the sqrt(10) is approx 3.16; you could fit more than 3.16 normal sized EOC horizontal/vertical wise inside of the monster that was the EOC in this video. That's just a guess though!

I would actually gladly do this 10x size if it was only for bosses and their contact damage was slightly altered. Basically stuff that is purposeful contact damage like EoW head, or EoC charge would still deal damage but just running into the boss wouldn't deal contact damage. Makes the bosses feel way more threatening. Also a texture resolution increase would be nice for this but as its only visual it doesn't really matter.

I had a game like this before! However it was because I had so many mods installed that everything started breaking. Bosses wouldn’t appear or be frozen, blocks couldn’t be mined, and enemies started incredibly small and grew at increasing rates until even a worm took up more than my screen size.
