I forgot to mention it but I have also tried out the 'waterproof' seal skinz brand. While they are ok I have found they are a bit bulky and your feet do still end up wet in the Tasmanian conditions. I have also found them not very form fitting to the foot. A good option in deep snow though. Do you have a favourite pair of socks? Silverlight are the best socks in the world in all conditions IMO. If I'm river walking I double layer them with a pair of thick wool explorer socks to stop grit getting in my shoe.

Great video. The way to tell the difference between left and right with the Silverlight socks is “Venture” is written in the rib on left socks and “out” on the right sock. Apparently there is also a small L and R near to the toe section. Well that’s what it says on the website. Looking forward to trying them. ~ Xing

how do you feel about Wrightsock Silver Escape? I have been using them for about a year, and they seem to be pretty good. May not be the warmest though, but i have yet to try them in the cold. Also they are entirely synthetic. They are similar to the Silverlights with the silver added, and are double layered.

I haven't seen these before. Have just looked at their website they do look similar to the Silverlight. Looks like they have a no blister guarantee so will investigate further!
