Here's the story of how my favorite socks faced tragedy: I had these black and purple socks with Halloween decor on them and even though the fabric was kinda weird, I just adored them and I would always, ALWAYS, wear them when I was sick, or when I had something important coming up, like a test. I wasn't sure where or how I got them but I did know that I would have sacrificed EVERYTHING for those socks. One day I wasn't feeling too well but not bad enough to skip school, and I was extremely confident that these socks were magical so I go to look for them and I only find one sock. Even though it made me kinda sad, I still wore it and I guess my mind made me believe that having only one made me even luckier because I ended up having a great day and deciding it was fate that took the other sock so I could have better luck. My favorite part was that the socks looked like they could continue to fit me as I grew older except eventually, I lost the sock. (but I'm pretty sure my mom just threw it out) I had just started learning to sew and I was going to fix any holes or rips in them but no matter where I looked, I couldn't find them. I was so heartbroken that I went into my crying corner and just quietly cried with a blanket over my head. Part of me still believes, to this day, that those socks actually were lucky but I'll spare you why I think so. Anyways, every now and then I think about them and sadly look at the wall, wondering what happened. Even after I didn't find them the first time around, I still spent my free time looking for my missing sock...

I hate the seam as well, but I always moved it because it would catch my big toe and annoy me. As a kid I refused to wear ankle socks. They would roll into my shoes and it made me feel weird so I’d always wear knee length socks. I still don’t like ankle socks and like the socks that fit snuggly on your upper ankle.
