A family of 2 adults and 2-3 kids can quickly have 30-40 pairs of socks without problem - if everyone changes socks once a day in a week and laundry isn't done more often than in the weekends then they quickly pile up!

Family of 6 (4 kids) wearing at least 1 pair per day is 12 socks per day. Could be 85 to 150 socks! I have a giant box of unmatching socks at all times. This wouldn't help me because no one has the same socks and I would need 55 tubes lol But yeah, if you're single or a couple, you have no idea!

I buy packs of 20 socks each, almost weekly. Even doing that, I still end up with unmatching socks!

buy some sturdy thick rubber bands, keep all socks banded in pairs except when wearing, after use re-band and throw in wash basket. never need to roll or sort ever again

Freaking laziness is what this is. Setting an unmatched sock aside while sorting through the rest to find its match, is exactly the same.
