And my motivation is honor and respect for my grandparents that served, how amazing the job is in general, and another thing is, I can imagine ringing that bell to quit is deffinitely more painful than what you have to endure at BUDS.

Aaron Burkhardt you’re too young right now so obviously consider this a long term goal, and all those strong ideals you have now will fade off as you get into your 20s, and this is NOT a bad thing, you will simply find different/more mature reasons for joining other than “honor” lol forget that Hollywood bullshit my dude...some valuable advice: go to college, or get a job after high school. Train your body up for an extra year or two, become a responsible adult first and Join the navy at 22-23 with maturity, that’s the type of guy who goes (and passes BUD/S) it’s not so much about honor and ego, a green beret colonel once told me that your WHY has to be bigger than yourself or you’ll never make it. That’s why maturity is so important, as an adult you have responsibilities and you begin to look at your family who raised you with much more gratitude than when you’re a minor. You have to be a protector and a servant. Learn leadership, date some women. Experience some failures and struggles first. All of that life experience you can get will make you a great candidate one day. I don’t think I truly understood what it meant to be a man until I was 22. So don’t be in a hurry is my biggest advice. Stew Smith, Jeff Nichols, all these guys will say the same thing. Good luck buddy

Talking about the Spick, whatever kind of boat, I like the M-80 Stiletto, a pentahull (5 hulls), shallow draft, I think 2', which it's a big ship for that. A helicopter can land on it, travel around 60 knots, where it'd be nice if there were a model at the Hobby store. It'd also be nice to see one up close out of the water.
@tyclark81622 жыл бұрын
The closest boat out there is the JetCraft line. Unbelievable handling on water n can stop on a dime if you're strapped in good. That can be deadly, so no hero's. You can stay static position in fast currents with practice. I've seen these boats land on top of boulders n get dragged back into the water n off they go. They handle veryyy differently, get experienced n go safely. The best family boat for families n 3 big dogs.

Until 2002 when they left MSGT Dave Chapman an Air Force Forward Controller. Though not a SEAL he was certainly a teammate. He finally received his well-deserved MOH after a 16yr fight because the Navy had already wanted to give a controversial MOH to the SEAL team leader 2mo earlier upgrading his Navy Cross. In 2017 the first female attempted BUD's training & quit week 1. In 2019 the first female naval officer completed SOAS but opted out of BUD's training. In 2021 the NSW graduated its first female as a SWCC boat crewman. Buds is just 1 phase of SEAL training. It takes up to 2,5yrs to train a SEAL for their 1st deployment .
@johncaldwelljr.96712 жыл бұрын
Yup what happened to MSGT Dave Chapman was a real disgrace. The navy knew those seals left a man behind but didn’t wanna admit it. If MSGT Dave Chapman got his MEDAL of HONOR then it would prove on paper that navy seals left him behind to die. Which they did. Recent video footage released form the fight shows what happened. The navy tried blocking his MOH for years. Finally, MSGT Dave Chapman got his well earned MOH but the navy bitched so much that the navy seal on that mission received one also. But he didn’t earn it. Seals are great usually, true hero’s. But like any other profession, there can be scumbags within. And recent years shows the seal community doing some messed up shit

Some residents that came down, really did that, in hopes of getting and exclusive offer from a taradactile. Exclusive means 3 hours per day- they can be dissolved at any time from either committing party. Some exclusive commitments have length term, especially when it's a class. Shark surfing, the sharks are paired with a surfer, the class lasts for 3 months. The sharks participate in class in exchange for grooming.
